Lariat is a tender and gentle soul, easily startled and scared of unfamiliar things - they are very attached to Iskander and often rely on him for support.  They express their affection and feelings easily, and love to be glued at the hip to their comfort people.  Lariat is a crybaby for both high and low emotions, so it's not unusual to find them crying at a cute picture of a cat or getting teary because they dropped their toast on the floor.  They have a big appetite and can put down a startling amount of food for a waif, but Bishop loves having a mouth to feed.  Lariat is scared of Salem (he's too spooky), worms (too wiggly), and thunder (too loud).  They love to dance!

Lariat loves beautiful and soft things, favoring airy tunics and dresses that allow plenty of movement and feel nice on the skin.  They love lace and baubles, gold toned accessories, and silky hairbows.  They won't wear black or dreary colors, and says that neon colors hurt their eyes.  Lariat will wear anything Issy suggests and respects his fashion input (they also try to emulate them a bit).  They'll wear pants or shorts occasionally, but they usually prefer other styling options.

Scrapbooking is Lariat's newest hobby, because they like all of the fun gel pens and glittery stickers; they don't have a particular theme for their book, it's just a mishmash of random things they like, which is why there's a receipt with a "fun number" lovingly scrapped next to an equally lovingly scrapped polaroid of Issy and Cedar.  They like to take walks and watch birds in the birdbath.  Issy signed them up for a beginner ballet class and they're tickled to bits.
