Futaba is a teenage computer genius, recovering hikkikomori, and a member of the Phantom Thieves.  She became extremely depressed and reclusive after her mother's death, and asked the Phantom Thieves to steal her heart in a desperate attempt to recover.  Thanks to them, she was able to awaken her Persona and come to terms with herself, joining them as their navigator.  She's struggling to adjust to normal life, but her friends are helping her out.

When in her element, Futaba is confident, clever, and witty.  Outside of it, she's extremely shy and easily scared, especially in large crowds.  She generally accepts that she's very different from most people and doesn't much care, but she can be discouraged by her difficulty interacting with others.
