Before I got my first vinyl doll in 2018, I saw a custom KOS-MOS and I instantly fell in love. At the time I didn’t really understand the difference between the standard DD models and the listened character dolls, but I quickly figured out that this doll would be too much trouble and money to spend on my first foray into vinyl, so I put her at the back of my mind.

Fast forward to April 2022, a person in my local doll group mentions that their friend is selling several of his DDs, and one of them was a badly stained KOS-MOS. I was able to work out a fantastic deal and took home a nude, bald, and eyeless KOS-MOS with purple stains covering her legs and arms. I have toyed around with the idea of a “project doll” ever since I got into BJDs and this seemed like the perfect intersection of getting my “grail” vinyl, getting a project doll, and getting the opportunity to learn how to take care of vinyl better.
