Story
Rhelm doesn't remember a lot of things. How he got here. What he came for. All he knows is that he was doing something important. There's a girl. She was in trouble. He needs to help her, somehow.
...He still hasn't figured out how he is going to do that from here.
In fact, Rhelm is just another classic case of a gaming session cut short. Somebody started their game, named their character, then either deleted it before they finished, or it was accidentally wiped, leaving all of its inhabitants stranded in the 'fantasy' realm of Fiction to be processed and 'recycled' into another, future gaming session as their version of the world ended with the erasure of data.
The friends aren't sure how to explain to Rhelm, a character fully embedded in his game's universe, how things work in Fiction. It might blow his brain a little. For now he is one of many immigrants in Prosperios, side-tracked during his introductory tour by a visit to The Gilded Cup that ended in violence. As things do when an armed assassin falls through your ceiling and threatens your staff. He drew a weapon. Rhelm countered him. Nobody won the scuffle, but Rhelm lost contact with his touring party... and suddenly found himself embroiled in the middle of a plot to undermine Prosperian authority.
Unlike much of Paladin and Bex's circle, he doesn't live or work with or near either of them, staying instead at the teahouse, where Vesper has been trying to find him a job while he sorts out how to get back to wherever he came from. So far she's assured the owners he makes an excellent bus boy, but they're not convinced this will keep him from drawing a sword around patrons. Rhelm, for his part, tries to stay out of trouble, but no one can stop him from keeping the hands of would-be sellswords off of civilians when the moment calls for it.
He's just a little too good at this video game hero stuff. Practical application... not so much.

Personality
Quiet. Doesn't always speak until spoken to, until he's comfortable with a person. Rhelm is a big fan of the outdoors, and likes to spend time just listening to nature, and co-existing with wildlife. Whittling wood and skipping stones in streams outside the city. He can't remember half of the things he dislikes, therefore everything is fair game to be tried until he can determine what he likes and dislikes now. This can include normal things like cooking, shopping, riding the tram... and less expected attempts, such as yowling with stray cats in the dead of night. (Paladin may have threatened to get him deported after a cat got stuck in one of his workshop pipes)
He's already decided that he's not a big fan of Nemicus and her pranks. But Paladin's big words and technical jargon fly straight over his head, so he tends to spend his time above ground where he'll bump or break less delicate equipment. Fortunately the tea house homonculi have taken a liking to him, thanks to Vesper.
He disapproves of Vesper's interest in Llewyr, but can't do much except keep an eye on her. She must make her own decisions, after all.
Despite first impressions, Rhelm is hardly shy. Just hesitant. And almost fearless. He won't balk from clashing against a bigger opponent should they prove threatening.
- Favorite Color Blue
- Favorite Food He doesn't remember. Trying new things is good though.

Fashion
A green or blue tunic with yellow, tan, or white pants, tall boots, and a ridiculous hat.
....At least, once I either sew or commission it. Otherwise, Rhelm is a standard blend of casual modern and some simpler fantasy / steampunk. Softer colours, patterns, oversized things. He's the closest thing to a 'soft boy' in the group.
