Hi All. Just wondering if anyone else here owns a Libidoll, and if they do, whether they have purchased spare parts in the last three months and where from. After exploring some stores in akihabara this month, I didn't have much luck (however I didn't visit all the doll stores). My Libidoll is new (probably not recently made though). I chose to make her resemble one of my favourite characters, Lime from Saber Marionette J. Here's a comparison of one of the shots from anime and my doll. She's an absolute joy 😍

Hello everyone! I'm very pleased to announce one of my most ambitious projects for my Lime (Libidoll), creating the costume from the Saber Marionette J anime (@Chise, @BeyondTime you might find this one interesting 😏)! It took two days from drawing to sewing, however I've been thinking about this for much longer, only now have I found some time to spare for once XD It's definitely rough around the edges, but the doll resembles Lime when I look at her, so my work has been successful in that regard. The bandanna still needs some work as I haven't fully figured out how it ties around her head, though that doesn't concern me too much. The oversized hair pin (with the giant red ball) I decided to omit for now as the doll's head is already pretty large and it'll just seem a little ridiculous. The sport-y bodysuit is made of socks that developed holes. The first version I made from a single sock, but the suit didn't go down her thighs low enough, so I made a second version from two separate socks (which were sewn by hand as the sewing machine couldn't handle it). The dress is made from plain white cotton fabric. My first try at using a sewing machine and clothe making was a year ago when I made a simpler dress for the figurine. The one in the photo is actually a 2nd (or maybe a third?) version, it took a few tries XD The figurine assembly manual also had the reference artwork which I used extensively (as well as my separate artwork collection of Lime). It's an absolute joy to have Lime almost in the flesh, and the posability the doll has is exponentially better than the figurine (although I admit Libidolls are a pain for posing and balancing, see my earlier post XD). "Huh, a mini me eh?" "Alright. Now gotta get an even bigger scale version!" She even managed to meet another gal during the photoshoot! Thanks for reading!

Hi All! Was planning to post some more info on my Libidoll for a while, but you know how life gets in the way eh? XD Anyway, @Keijogirl asked me some time ago for some info. The link below points to the photo album of my initial assembly of the Libidoll (warning, some photos NSFW): https://flic.kr/s/aHsmLDELcj The magnetic joints make putting on clothes a breeze. Wanna change a shirt or coat? Just pop her arms out Chewbacca style and lift the shirt off 😜 Possibility isn't amazing. I got an obitsu48 for my mum, and that was the first time I realised just how limited the range of motion is. Especially at the elbows. For example I can't have Lime move her palm up to her chin without the elbow popping out (and then get attracted back). Changing and aligning the eyes is a breeze compared to obitsu, because they are placed inside a plastic piece behind the face. No putty required. I didn't take any pictures yet, however whenever I'll change out Lime's eyes I'll take some. Diameter is 22cm. I also wasn't pleased by the default bust size, but the official Libidoll large bust torso has long been out of stock pretty much everywhere for a long time. However my engineering mind just comes up with other ideas, which I'll do in another post hahah. So the result so far is that I have my doll much better resemble Lime with the DIY bust upgrade, with an unfortunately downside of limited arm movement because the magnets aren't perfectly shaped to fit. She's not complaining though XD Anyway, hopefully the photos show some detail and that my post has been informative. Here she's wearing a school uniform skirt with a jumper (I guess? Not sure for the name of this top...).

So since I got Lime, I decided it's time to try taking photos of her in public. I'm still a little shy about it, so I preferred quiet places. Luckily given that we stayed in Akita prefecture, in the middle of winter, the place seemed relatively empty. Lime says "Hello!" I got a couple of shots of her looking out the hotel window, as well as looking at the views from Senshu Park (really beautiful place in winter!). She definitely enjoyed herself, given it was the first time she got to stand on her two feet, kinda deep in the snow, and look at the scenery of her native country.
