    Hai Hai!

I’m Angelus!! I’ve always had a big love of BJD’s and Vinyl dolls! I already had a taeyang-Isul hybrid doll from a few years before, but I’m about to get my first imomodoll! I’m very excited to see everyone’s dolls and posts 😄 I hope we get along!!
  2. URGANT QUESTION I am considering on switching from Tinyfox Murphy to Tinyfox Kakav, which has a lot of dark clothing, and i cannot find any shops that have the Tinyfox bodysuit for sale, so how am i meant to deal with the stains?? OR, WHERE THE HECK CAN I FIND THE BODYSUIT OR AN ALTERNATIVE!! PLEASE HELP!!
  3. Holy heck I'm on this site again, anyways, I am a teenage artist on social media who became very much in love with Mini Dollfie Dream Dolls, and want to join in on having my own Mini Dollfie Dream, however i am kind of just trying to figure out a good way to save money on said doll (For my parents wallet and sanity lol) (I need to start my commissions but I'm a coward) So, theres one thing thats prob not gonna end up changing, the price for the head and body.. The head varies with the price cause of detail, materials used ect.. so im planning to just get a base head and paint my own head (Plus to be a lil more like the Dollfie photographer i admire greatly) and body.. well.. is straight up the most expensive piece lol However.. what are some ways i could save money on say.. materials for painting the face and head, outfits, wigs, ect. ect. Again, im mainly asking not just for me, but for my parents too since at this time.. I don't make money (Again should start commissions to hecking help) Any extra tips on Mini Dollfie dreams in general is very much appreciated cause although i know a little on MDD, I don't really know much at all on care and such.. (Closest thing i got is a flipping Monster High Draculaura doll lol) But yeah, ANYTHING to help with saving money on this soon to be new hobby would be great, yes, you can also link people or sellers that are good for a budget as well.. This is not just for the wallet.. but also for my parents sanity too lol. Please don't say anything on needing to have good money to have such hobby.. I just really like the dolls, they are precious and gorgeous, and want to have my own lil one too. ^w^'

    Hey! Hey!

Hi! I'm wh0retensia(she/they) I'm a college student with an unhealthy obsession to Fate. Nice to meet you all! I'm new to the doll collecting community and I recently just bought my first Dollfie Dream, DD Ciel. I love all things Type-Moon related and I have been collecting figures for a while now, feel free to add me on MFC! I hope to someday have the Arcueid Dollfie as well to go with my Ciel. I would be so thankful for any tips on how to care for my Dollfie. Thank you<3!!!!
  5. roro_robot

    Hello!

Hello I'm Roro! I just received my very first doll, Dollfie Dream Kaito, after admiring dolls from afar for many years. Finally decided to make the investment on Kaito as he has always been my favourite and most comforting character, so it seemed like the perfect opportunity to get involved and have a doll of my own. Even thought I have just gotten my first I am also interested in trying to customise another doll sometime when I have the funds and become more knowledgeable about how to do so. I am looking forward to interacting with all of you and admiring all of the lovely dolls here! 😄

    Watercolors?

Would watercolor pencils be ok to do a Dollfie Dream face with? Would they damage the vinyl? Would they not react well to sealant? I don't have great fine motor skills, and I don't feel comfortable using liquid paint to give my doll a faceup. Are watercolor pencils, or heck, even regular colored pencils a viable option?
  7. (This is the finished version of another topic) Hey everyone, so i have a question and i hope you guys that own a Mini Dollfie Dream can help me. So i plan to get a Mini Dollfie Dream doll, i have dreamed of owning one since January 2022 and im gonna slowly try to get the doll piece by piece. I could not use the "Insert Image from URL" do to not knowing how to do it all.. so go to the link below for the photos. Photos of Box So i got this box, its an Oculus box that my mother gave me, its 16.3/8" in Inches, i plan to use it for the doll, although i may turn it into sort of a bed lol. I plan to get a MDD body with small bust with a DDH-27 head (So i dont need to sand off lips) My question is simple.. will the doll fit in the box or will it be too big.. and show how much larger the doll will be to the box if it is too big for the box. Any help and information to help will be appreciated greatly! ^w^'

    Hi from Poland!

Hello! I'm Karolina from Poland, coming back to the doll hobby after a long break. I've been mostly interested in resin dolls but I'm hoping to buy my first MDD soon! Just discovered JP Yahoo auctions a couple of days ago and I'm eyeing a few custom heads and used bodies on Buyee 👀 Even though I fell out of doll collecting for a few years (no time or money) I never stopped making miniature doll food. You can check my store at www.badgersbakery.com or Badger's Bakery on Etsy ☺️
  9. Abra

    Hi Doll Dreaming!

Hi there!! You can call me Abra. I'm really excited to be here, I'm currently saving up for my first two dolls, both Mini Dollfie Dreams. I'm very new to doll collecting in general and vinyl anime dolls in particular, mostly for budget reasons. But I've been ogling pictures of them online for years. I'm also in about a billion different fandoms, and I can't wait to customize some of my future dolls as a form of fanart. So yeah, that's me. Happy to talk or receive tips, but I'm kinda busy and might reply late.

    Androgynous body

hey everyone! I'm currently contemplating trying to make one of my own characters into a vinyl doll. I only own an angelphilia at this moment. I love her so much but I am happy to branch out to other brands/sculpts. I am looking for a more androgynous looking body. The actual gender of the body isn't relevant as long as it has a flat chest (ish doesn't need to be perfect flat). The aim is for it to look genderfluid/androgynous underneath clothes. Any help or redirection to pages would be wonderful! I tried looking for this topic but I am still learning about this forum 😅 Thanks! PS if you have a doll like this feel free to add pictures! I love seeing other people's dolls. Edit: I forgot to mention that I prefer something 50cm + somewhere around the 60cm would be perfect.

    Hello! Art gremlin here.

Yo! I'm Nat! I'm not new to the general doll hobby, I've been collecting BJDs since November 2013. My brother has been collecting both BJDs and vinyl dolls since around then too. After realizing how light and fun his vinyl ones are, and my interest in an anime style doll not being met by any currently available resin sculpts, I became really interested in owning a vinyl doll myself. I have a head ready (DD Ranka Lee) to put on a body, now I just need a body! Wanting a MDD because that's the perfect size. I wanted to look around to try and buy one secondhand to help someone out so I'm not in any particular rush LOL. I do art for a living. I'm an art machine. Looking forward to poking around the forums, especially to look at photos. 😄
  12. Hi! I decided to give in and join DollDreaming after I was told of this vinyl BJD forum by Den of Angels members when I looking around for information about cleaning up a vinyl BJD with yellowing on it. I believe I’ll be her second and hopefully last owner! I have not decided on a name yet. I purchased a pre-loved Obitsu 60cm for 9,000 JPY that is well.. Somewhere in Japan preparing to be transported to the USA! I read more than a few times now that Obitsu 60s are hard to come by as they have been discontinued by Obitsu and are officially out of stock on the Parabox shopping website. Lastly, I am also known as Rneiro (pronounced Ray-Nero) on DoA.

    Buying Used Dollfie Dreams?

I've been drooling over Dollfie Dreams for years, but the price of buying new is way out of my budget, and when recently getting into Mandarake for 1/6 scale dolls, I saw they had a section for Dollfie Dreams. Seems like things are relatively inexpensive, around 28,000 Yen for a DDdy body. I wondered if buying used was a reasonable choice for budget, or if I should just save up to buy new? Also, I've seen a lot of heads that are shiny, like this one: https://order.mandarake.co.jp/order/detailPage/item?itemCode=1145946138&ref=flist&lang=en. What causes this? Is it fixable? She's such a good price that I don't want to pass her up, but I'm also very uninformed when it comes to Dollfie Dreams, so I have no idea if this is a sealant problem, age problem, or something that's super strange.
  14. Turta Hello everyone, I am very excited to get to talk with fellow doll hobbiests, see their cute dolls, learn new things, and have good time in here in general:D I have been interested in balljointed dolls for about 15 years now, but the time was never right for me to make such a purchase. I'v been living on a student budget for a long time, so I never could talk myself into buying one, but the huge interest remained and simmered for years. It all started in highschool and the huge interest was reawakened few years ago, when couple of my friends started to collect balljointed dolls (not anime styled, but amazing balljointed dolls anyway). So I finally gaved in to the doll fever, and ordered my first doll last month-I'm so excited!!! It took a long time, but finally I'm going to have my first doll(/s)! So, I went a little overboard, and ordered 2 more dolls after that.. I waited so long, and got so excited once I researched so many cute dolls, that I kinda became a little bit obsessed, but I regret nothing:D My first order was Luts Delf kid Coco, then some time later I ordered Azone's Kosagi, and just last night I gave in on my last huge urge, and ordered Dollce doll Myau head with parabox body. It might be a bit much ordering this much, but I'v been longing for a bjd for years now, so I'm giving myself a pass this time:) Sorry if the introduction was long, nice to meet you all:D

    New! +plans

Hello i m new here! I made my acc a few months ago however then i got busy with school. Since 2015 ive been collecting bjds however ive always loved vinyl dolls. It just seemed very hard to get them in europe and i got very intimidated by hearing how fast they can stain. Im quite a paranoid person en havent had my curtains open in ages of fear of my dolls yellowing ;w;" However as im graduating in a few weeks i wanted to get myself a present. I will be buying the Mini Dollfie Dream Liliru standard set! Im only really intrested in 1/4 dolls and i absolutly love her. Ive already been thinking of a character, She would have a kind of magical girl fashion sense, horns, elf ears and ill make her a tail! I do am still looking to buy her more stuff but i dont really know where? For my bjds i preffer natural fibre wigs however i like vinyl dolls more with synthetic wigs. but that means i dont really know where to get them from. Feel free to sugest me some stores, etsy shops ect that sell some wigs, clothes and eyes. I also hope to make some new friends here! Sorry if the term i use are wrong? Englsih isnt my first language and like i mentiond before ive only really collected bjds.

    New to this hobby

Hello there. I'm just creating this thread because I am looking into this hobby a little bit and I wanted to know more about it before committing anything. You can skip this paragraph if you really don't care to know my backstory. A little bit of my background and experience with dolls is that I have been into 1/6 figures for a long time and I probably started collecting them when I was around 16. As I'm sure I'm not alone here, I struggled to make actual human friends because I was rather shy and antisocial, so I turned to something else for friendship and company; Dolls. I have many different 1/6 figures from various different companies. Because of this I have dealt with a lot of different materials that some companies use to make their bodies out of, so I am at least a little acquainted with these things. The hobby has kind of died down to me for a while now, but back when I was really into the hobby I had come across the smart dolls. It peaked an interest in my mind and I began to look into them more and more. Eventually I found Dollfie as well. I never got a doll from either company mainly because of how expensive they were, it was hard to try and talk myself into it. At the time I didn't realize that they were also so big (I thought they were of the 1/6 scale variety). I always meant to get one someday and I kept telling myself I would, but never got around to it. I never really lost interest in the hobby because I stopped liking them or anything, but instead it was because I had met my wife and she actually finds it to be quite weird that a male has taken an interest in dolls... so, for her sake I kind of gave the hobby up. Anyway, recently I've been very interested in drawing and art. I created my own character that I really fell in love with, which is actually the reason I started my art journey in the first place. It got me thinking that I wanted to bring her to life for real. Immediately I thought of Dollfie and Smart Doll. She could be my art model and reference if I needed her to be. Now my interest in these dolls has once again peaked because I have been looking at them again. Me and my wife have been together for a couple years now and she's not as uncomfortable with the doll thing and the ones I still currently have like she used to be. Although the topic of me purchasing a smart doll about a year ago didn't really sit well with her, mainly because of the size difference between the 1/6 figures I currently possess and the larger Dollfie sizes. Even when I think about how large 2 feet is, it does seem like a lot of doll. More so than anything I've ever had in the past. Nonetheless, I'm still very interested in acquiring one of these dolls. There's just a couple of questions I'd like to ask for those of you with the knowledge to share with me. How durable are these dolls? What is the maintenance like on them (i.e. do you need to be concerned with oily fingers, special way to wash or care for them, etc.)? I know that with my 1/6 figures you have to be wary of ink leaking from the clothing and staining the body; I'm assuming it can be said that this could happen to these dolls as well? What brand could be classified as the best (quality, pricing, customer support, etc.)? I got in contact with the company that produces the smart doll and they said they don't make custom dolls, but that doesn't mean I couldn't customize her myself correct? At this point in time I'm currently leaning towards DD more because it seems as though there is more customization. If there is any other basic information you can provide to me would be much appreciated! Also, if there's any advice on what type of body, head, clothing websites, etc. I would appreciate that very much also! Here's my character. I couldn't figure out how to upload to the website, so here's the direct link to the pictures. https://www.deviantart.com/gwandak/gallery
  20. I recently got into the whole dolls thing. I wanna get started but I’m a little lost with everything. I really like the smaller dolls (Obitsu 11 with hikari head). What should I first do when it comes to getting/creating my own doll? Good websites that I can shop on that is in English?

    Hello everyone!

Hello everyone, I am so excited to join this community! I have always liked and collected 1/6 and 1/4 BJDs for just over 10 years, started as porcelain art dolls owner, and ended up as resin BJDs collector when in 2014 I got my first resin doll. In 2018, after firstly collecting few Azone International Ex Cute dolls, I approached the vinyl dolls community by adopting two Smartdolls. It's such a big change but it's a good change: I've never own a 1/3 sized doll before - the big change! - and I've started fallen in love with vinyl dolls and I've learned so much about them - the good change! My Smartdolls are now re-homed - super lovely but I couldn't deal with so *big* size! Personal opinion but perfect doll is 40/45cm tall Anyway, I'm now totally into Azone/Obitsu ones: Petit Iris Collect and Ellen Series ❤️ I’m looking forward to talking with other collectors and learning more about the hobby. I'm happy to meet you all!
