Hello! Hopefully this is the right forum to put this question in. I'm planning on doing my first faceup on a resin doll sometime soon (a Seria doll). I would rather not use a spray sealant because of the toxicity, so I'm considering using Liquitex Professional Matte Varnish instead. I've heard of people using gouache for some faceups which I'm interested in, but would that be possible with this sealant? I hear acrylics work with Liquitex.

Is there a way to tell whether a limited doll will get another release? I'm interested in getting a rin kagamine reboot but I see I was late to the party so I'm hoping to get one at retail price if they do more

I have a couple questions in regards to dolls aaand.. drawing?? alright i'll get to it in a minute lol. My first question is kind of simple.. If the doll you are getting has a name already.. is it ok to rename them? I figure you could.. cause it would be kinda odd to have a restriction on renaming your dolls lol.. buuut just asking for the lolz.. The second question.. is.. If the drawings are related to dolls in question.. is it ok to post them here?? Cause I occasionally draw dolls i like, especially the one im currently after, having sketched her several times.. Since im uncertain on if i can post said drawings here, i thought to ask. THe final question i wanna ask is simple.. What sizes for body suits and wig caps are best for 1/6 Tinyfox dolls? I just wanna be sure.. ;w; Oh and tiny updates on me. Found out that the original site the doll im after is on is actually cheaper.. and that there is not exactly an extreme time limit.. if there is one.. its around 9 months.. aaand given this baby has been announced 4 weeks ago.. i think i got a bit of time.. Aaand i started my commissions!

I've set my mind on purchasing AP Sayo soon, and have been wondering about some things regarding making clothing/staining. I've heard that certain types of dark fabric are less likely to stain, does anyone know specifically what types? Can prewashing fabric reduce the likelihood of staining? Is it enough to just line everything with white fabric and be cautious of positioning to avoid staining? Can painted metal/plastic jewelry or accessories stain? I might be overthinking these things as first doll anxiety, I'd really appreciate anyone who can help or guide me to the right resources!

Hi! I found someone who would want to buy my 40/45 upper male body part but i don’t know what to price it, i also have 40/45 lower male body part and a obitsu 45cm head that i don’t know what to price. It is perfect condition and i bought the body and head from someone who never used it, no modifications done and i sketched a little on the head but i erased it but there may be some spots i missed.

Would watercolor pencils be ok to do a Dollfie Dream face with? Would they damage the vinyl? Would they not react well to sealant? I don't have great fine motor skills, and I don't feel comfortable using liquid paint to give my doll a faceup. Are watercolor pencils, or heck, even regular colored pencils a viable option?
