I have finally decided to take the plunge and get a Smart Doll- that is when they return in May. Can anyone give me some information on navigating United States customs? I’ve ordered from Japan in the past and I don’t remember having any problems or charges. I’ve ordered Blythe dolls that were in the $250- $300 range and didn’t have any trouble. I’ve also ordered less expensive, smaller dolls from Mandarake. However, I know Smart Dolls are worth more and come in larger boxes. Any tips or tricks are needed!

Hi, sorry if i posted wrong this is my first time using this site. Id like to buy a dollfie from amiami, but im concerned about how much the shipping costs would be. This is my first time buying a dollfie so i really dont know what to expect. Theres no warning for high shipping costs on the item page like there would be for large figures like 1/4 scale bunnies, but im still worried knowing how large the dolls are. Does anyone have an estimate for how much shipping would be from amiami? I live in the United States.

Hello~ I recently ordered my first DD from Mandarake! She’s shipping through DHL. I checked the tracking page and a note said I may have to pay import/tax! I’ve never used DHL for a large (expensive) package...I’m worried as I only saved up for the DD+shipping. I don’t want send my baby girl back ;( For those you that have shipped through DHL, did you have to pay? If so, what was the damage? Thank you!

Hello. What are your experiences with DHL services here in EU? How did it go with paying duties? I have noticed that Mandarake offers shipping also via DHL. I had experience only with EMS and local postal services. TY
