Lidia's Vacation in Prescott

This photo story is a collaboration project with Poofiemus and myself.

 

 

 

 

*Birds chirping*

 

 

 

Lidia: Deep breath “Ah, smell that lovely, non-abyssal mountain air!”

 

 

Lidia: “Such nice, sunny weather. . .”

 

Lidia: “Yeah, I think this will be a great spot for my short vacation in the prime! If only it would rain.”

 

Lidia: “They weren't kidding when they said the local flora fauna was innocuous. . . As in utterly 'boring'.”

 

Lidia: “These are at least a little better. They have 'dragon' in their name at least.”

 

Lidia: “And good for poking things. Hya!”

 

Lidia: “Something feels off though. . .a slight breach in the temporal stream.”

 

(Rustling sound in the bushes)

 

Lidia: This could be an interesting vacation after all! *grin*

 

(Whoosh)

 

Lidia: “Hmph.”

 

Lidia: “Hah! A bomb!?”

 

Lidia: “What do you think you're--”

 

*Homura disappears*

 

Lidia: “. . . doing?”

 

Lidia: “A little girl? What pathetic use of temporal manipulation shills...”

 

A field of intense electrified static field fills the area along with a powerful gust of wind.

 

Lidia: “...and a pitiful explosive.” (explosion)

 

Homura: “Just great. Didn't even scratch her.”

 

Lidia: “Get back here, child, and we can talk!”

 

Homura: “How about. . . no.”

 

Lidia: “Impudent little life-form.”

 

Lidia: “You just picked the wrong being to mess with.”

 

Homura: “You know, if you wanted to talk you could have just asked nicely. That's what polite people do.”

 

Homura: “Meet me over there on that stump, and we can talk.”

 

Lidia: “. . .”

 

Lidia: “Well, she isn't a threat of any kind, other then being a mouthy little child that seems to enjoy blowing things up for kicks and giggles.”

 

Lidia: “Taking your sweet time aren't you?”

 

Homura: “I'm here, actually.”

Lidia: “Finally.”

 

Lidia: “Listen, child. You've got some potential with those kind of skills, I'll give you that.”

 

Lidia: “But you can't just go tossing bombs at people just because you can. You have to save that for when you have a reason.”

 

Homura: “Oh, I did have a reason. You're friends with Hrist, aren't you?”

 

Lidia: “You know Hrist?”

 

Homura: “Yes. She's a recent friend of mine.”

 

Lidia: “Oh really? And I suppose she told you to randomly toss a bomb at me?”

 

Homura: (snort) “Hardly.”

 

Homura: “I was testing you. I needed to see if you could keep up, and protect her as well as she believes you can.”

 

Homura: “You passed, by the way.”

 

Lidia: “Naturally.”

 

Homura: “I guess you're capable. Promise to take care of my new friend?”

 

Lidia pauses for a moment to consider,

 

Lidia: “(Who does she think I am anyway?)”

Lidia: “Sure, so long as you don't attempt to blow me up again.”

 

Homura: “Fine. It's a deal.”

 

Homura: “I'd better go. Ditzy damsels to save, and contracts to prevent.”

"The name's Homura, by the way."

 

Lidia: "Have fun with that, Homura. If you want perhaps, you should come and visit with Hrist some time.”

Homura: “That'd be fine. Well, I'm off. Take care of Hrist.”

Lidia: “Of course.”

Homura: “Oh, and don't become a magical girl.”

Lidia: “Heh.”

 

Lidia: “I've seen stranger, however. Perhaps I should advise Hrist to not go to any more of those meets. She's making connections with some rather uncanny people.”

“Then again, some of her Einherjar are a bit questionable as well...”

 

A moment later...

 

Homura: “Oh, and Lidia?”

Lidia: “Yes?”

 

Homura: “Ask Hrist about the dresses.”

 

Lidia: “Dresses!?”

 

Lidia: “Well, she may have been a crazy denizen of this world, but I'm not going to let *that* ruin my vacation.”

 

*Birds chirping with the sound of a gusty breeze*
