pharaviel Posted July 12, 2014 I've bought on the forum a DD2 with a bad case of broken spine (that was totally known when I bought her). The upper body skeleton was pasted to the lower one but I was pretty sure I would break it again. As expected, it took me less than 10 minutes (the first L bust to M bust swap) to break it! I put the body in storage and didn't looked at it for more than a month. Yesterday night I was browsing the forum and listening to music and I thought: why not? This is the first experiment: a metal paperclip part in the "spine". Zero stability (it would keep rotating) but it keeps the upper body on the lower. Then I used some rubber bands to keep the upper part pulled to the lower one, so it would not escape the metal clip. The fit is not perfect, but it works (I didn't put the other part under the vinyl bust, too much hassle). Seems to stand and not having problems with weights. The head is stolen from my fist doll Alba. She's going to be my fourth doll as soon as I find the right dress (male-like white shirt and black trousers and suit) and find/commission a mature white head If the rubber bands will not last, next time I'll try something with metal wire, I already have an idea
Oni-Chan Posted July 26, 2014 Glad you were able to fix it! When my dddy body arrived, the neck peg had snapped off. Much like you did here, I wrapped elastic from the craft store around the shoulder section then up into the dd head and secured it with a metal ring much like a resin doll would have. It wasn't a great fix (her head would spin around and get some weird angles) but it did the trick until a friend gave me a replacement frame piece ^-^ I have more dollfies than my age in years *×*

As of now the repair works Meanwhile I decided to use metal wire too. Seems to be more stable now.
