nsfw SmartDoll vs DD3/DDdy body comparison NSFW

I found this today while doing research and though others might find it useful: to Cool Cat measurement chart showing the difference in sizes between SmD / DD2 / DD3 / DDdy[/url] Ironically, I can't find the chart on their official site, only on their twitter feed.

 

It's missing almost all the DDdy bust measurements but it's still useful IMHO.

I definately prefer Smart Dolls to Dollfies. I have a Mirai and a Snow Miku and prefer Mirai. Mirai looks more natural to me, even the way she poses, I just cannot get Miku to look as cute as Mirai in the same pose. There are two things I like the DD3 for over the SmDolls. The first is the hips, DD hip holes are slightly better to allow for greater range of motion, the cost is that some of the ascetics were sacrificed to give the hip range of motion Miku has. I also absolutely love that Miku can sit criss crossed and angle her knees more like an actual person. If I can figure out how to post pictures I will show what I mean.

I am so glad I popped into this thread! I've been looking for a chart with the sizes of Smart Girl busts forever! Thank you so much Marilyn!

 

I am heavily debating getting a Smart Doll. They are really cute and I love how natural the bodies look. Especially how nice they look with sexier clothes. The main thing I am worried about is saving up for one of the girls and then not reaching for Miku as often once I get her. (Realistically, that might not happen for a few years anyway because I'm going back to school to be a teacher, yay!)

 

Who do you guys end up reaching for more? And why?

im happy to see that thread here ^^ mirai's boobs looks more natural but i really like the hips of the DDY. Mirai have a vast variety of skin color which make me want to get one tanned.

smartdolls have a nice profile silhouette

I have to disagree. I have a Smart Doll and they have suuuch long legs. Like not just model-legs, but this-might-be-an-alien long legs xD (I still love my Smart Doll though)

I'm with you. The thinness of the legs and especially arms along with the leg length and thinner neck make the body less aesthetically pleasing to me. I think the one element of the DD that sticks out is the really narrow waist, but that's generally not an issue in clothing and for clothes that expose the waist the one-piece torsos look much better.

 

I think the most natural looking is the DDdy when modded with a DDIII bust. I'm sure in real-world dimensions it still isn't but the effect works.

I agree with you. at least in anime terms. To me, the Smart Doll bodies look more like anime drawings/renderings. Yes they have very long legs, but it suits the doll very well. I also feel the DD bodies are so . . . .flat? square? when looking at them from the side. I like the curvy-ness of the Smart Doll body without them being quite at the DDDy level.

I posted this question in the Obitsu/SQ Lab section of the forum but got no answers so I hope no one minds if I hijack the thread a little. Since a DD head can fit on the Smart Doll body with slight modification I was wondering if anyone could tell me if an SQ Lab head would fit too since they are similar in design? Thanks!

 

I don't own an SQ Labs head so I'm not 100% sure on this but since you CAN put an SQ Lab head onto a DD body, I don't see why you can't put one on a SmD body. It all depends on the size of the hole in that head. I'd guess it to be bigger than the SmD peg so you'll have to either find some small tubing, like airline for a fish tank, to put over the peg to make up the space or you can just use eye putty under the head and inside the head to wrap around the peg and keep it stable and in place.

The smartdoll torso part looks amazing! I like how it fits nicely with the bust.

There's a thread here somewhere that shows this along with other mix-and-match busts and bodies, but I can't find it now. As far as I remember, this doesn't work.

I've been waffling between a smart doll and a DD. After looking at the bodies in your photos I like the smart dolls better. They look more natural to me than the DD.
