Lotharen Posted July 14, 2014 Hello everyone, I've been a member of the forum for over a week now and just realized I never posted an introduction. I jumped right in and started discussing things with the community in various posts. So, what brought me to the forums..... That darn Danny Choo, that's who! Yes, its true - I learned of Dollfie Dream because of Culture Japan and seeing all those amazing dolls behind him during his interviews. Not to mention the one he carries with him practically all the time. Oddly enough seeing them on his site and show didn't immediately cause me and my wife to seek out what Dollfie Dream was. I think the limited edition Asuna started us poking around, we loved SAO and drooled heavily upon seeing the doll. So we figured we would wait and maybe get one later. Thus leads to present day and our recently obtained understanding of the lotto system. We were quite saddened by missing our opportunity to get Asuna cheaply (at least compared to what she's going for now). We didn't let that dampen our spirits and decided to pursue DD collecting as a joint hobby. Needless to say our girls (ages 11, 13) join us in discussions about outfits and which doll we all want so it very well may end up a family affair before its all said and done. I found Dollfie Dreams by searching for information about DD - their care, outfits, anything we could learn since we had one on the way. I let my wife get first pick and her Yukino arrived last week. This forum has proved to be a gold mine of information for those new to this hobby and were grateful everyone was nice enough to post such detailed information on so many topics. My thanks too you! Well, I believe I've been long winded enough. I hope to make some friends here and look forward to being a member for many years to come. Nice to meet you all! It's great to see another husband/wife team in the hobby...and getting your kids involved is great, too...but probably not so great for your wallet because they aren't old enough yet to do their own hobby financing! I'm sure that you and your family will have hours and hours of terrific family time together as you explore the world of DD. There is nothing like these little darlings to draw everyone together!!
