Arkinlae Posted July 16, 2014 So after having resins for a number of years I finally managed to get my hands on a Dollfie Dream and after seeing how solid the posing is on these babies, I don't think I ever want to go back to resin bodies (though I am a little paranoid about the staining). So this is my girl a DDdy Mai Shiranui. She's nicknamed Magpie as she enjoys collecting shiny thing. The pictures are nothing special just quick ones I took on my phone the minute I got her home after a doll meet. She will be sharing her body with one of my resin heads too an Iplehouse Freezia. I can't quite decide on her style yet it's a toss up between Mori or Fairy Kei, or maybe I'll be creative and try and do a mixture of the two Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Amber Posted July 16, 2014 She's really pretty, I've always liked the Mai head since it has soft lines and nice curves to it. It's also very recognizable. I really like her with the pink wig and pink outfit, it's very cute! I tried to decide on a clothing style for my girls, but it eventually faded away into just buying whatever I think is cute... Or did I not read that right? ^^ It probably will just end up depending on if I see some nice fabric or not seeing as I'm hoping to try and make all her clothes myself. The Iplehouse head does fit on a DD body I had to make a neck piece using a bottle cap though it's a little bit floppy sometimes (I think because of the neck hole being bigger) and I think might be slightly smaller than a DD head. I'm not 100% sure with that though just to me the DDdy bust looks a very very slightly out of proportion with the Iplehouse head compared to the DD head. I'm tempted to try and convert a DDII large chest to use just for the Iplehouse Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Billy I've been pleasantly surprised by her actually she's more versatile than I expected. At first I wasn't sure whether to go for her as all the pics made her look a bit tough and like she might not be able to pull off some cute feminine things, but it just goes to show what a difference the right wigs can make.
