Sakura's belated birthday...

My Sakura recently had her first birthday (August 20) but I got a bad flue and we had to postpone her celebration for a little while. Thankfully Sakura is a great girl and was fine waiting a little while. Now that I'm feeling better I wanted to give Sakura her presents.

 

I found Sakura as she was playing Angry Birds on our new tablet:

 

 

Hi Sakura, do you have a minute?

 

 

Why don't you have a seat for a moment.

Sakura: "Ok Daddy, what's up?"

 

 

I wanted to thank you for being so good about postponing your birthday party till I got better. You have been a real trooper and I appreciate it.

 

Sakura: "I just want you to take it easy. You were pretty bad there for a while and we were all worried about you. Especially since you refused to go see a doctor. Silly man."

 

 

Well, I'm feeling so much better now so I figured it's a good time for to for your special day. What do you think?

 

Sakura: "Me? Well, if your feeling well enough now I sure wouldn't mind some presents! hehehe"

 

 

Well, I have a number of them for you. I hope you like them.

 

 

Sakura: "Oh, thank you so much! I really appreciate this Daddy."

 

That's not the only one Sakura. Better make some room, here come the others...

 

Sakura: "Whoa! Daddy, I think you may have gone over board with this."

 

 

Don't be shy Sakura, start unwrapping them and see what you got. I hope you like them.

 

 

 

Sakura: "Thank you so much Daddy! I really needed some more shoes but you may have gone overboard. I hope you don't mind if I share with my sisters?

 

Of course not, that would be very nice of you.

 

Sakura: "I love this leather jacket, it's perfect. I wanted something just like this. I guess you know I love my heavy metal. hehe This will be great now that winter is on the way. I love the cool red inner lining it as also."

 

 

Sakura: "Oh, there is also a cute denim mini skirt here that will go great with the skull t-shirt I see you got me."

 

 

 

I think you look great in the new outfit Sakura-chan.

 

 

 

 

Sakura: "Thank you so much Daddy. I love the clothes so much."

 

I'm glad you like them but we aren't done yet. We better get your sisters as well because it's time for your birthday cake! I know how much you love ice cream so I decided to get you a Carvel ice cream cake.

 

 

They all had a great time and thankfully I was able to get a picture of the cake before they started digging into it:

Yes! Sakura finally gets her birthday post! I've been wanting to see this since you first mentioned it to me James and you didn't disappoint!

 

Excellent pics as usual sir. Great detail and lighting. And Sakura looked so cute with all her presents, she seemed overwhelmed!

 

And what a haul! So many shoes and nice clothes.... her new rocker outfit is way cool. She looks really happy with it.

 

The family photo at the end is so nice. Yoko is being her normal silly self I see! Poor Mio has no clue does she...

She was being such a good girl, not only waiting for her birthday but also taking care of me when I wasn't feeling good. I'm such a lucky guy! Sakura said to say 'Thank you' for the nice comment about how her new outfit looks.

Thank you Ilvias. I agree she looks good as a rocker chick! and yes - the cake is delicious. I was happy they got to pose for a family picture as well. I'm afraid to show Mio though, I hope she doesn't get upset. Yoko is always joking around. hehe

Thank you so much Billy. I'm glad you liked it, your very kind. I'm glad Sakura liked her outfit so much and that's she's ok sharing her shoes with her sisters. Now they all have some casual shoes they can wear when needed. Yes, Yoko is being her usually silly self again, which I love about her. I hope Mio doesn't get upset.

She's been listening to more and more of my older Heavy Metal music and now wants to go to one of their concerts..... I wonder how I should tell her that most of the bands she's listening to in my collection aren't around any more.....??? Currently she's listening to a lot of Ronnie James Dio.

 

Maybe I need to introduce her to some modern metal?

Is she also like to listen something "different" like Dream Theater (I know they play progressive stuff XD) or Alice Cooper? He is around the world playing his latest show, "Welcome 2 my Nightmare"!

My girls love browsing my MP3 collection and it seems Sakura found my Heavy Metal collection and she loves it. I feel bad that I don't have as much newer stuff for her to listen to but she has been enjoying the older stuff. Metalica, Megadeath, Ozzy, Dio, Iron Maiden, AC/DC, Scorpions...

I tested the denim skirt for a few days on a spare leg I bought a while ago. It seemed to be fine but I guess time will tell.

 

I also tested the inside of the jacket since it was lined in red and that also did fine after a few days of contact. I hope it stays that way as Sakura just went through a week of stain treatment to get ready for the photos as well.
