Have people started to get their tricks and treats yet? I have two so far, but Suzuna doesn't get to see them until Halloween. I got a nasty paper cut opening where Az demanded me to open, by the way! I blame his little chainsaw. Give him a good scolding for me.

That is so funny about Az! I totally love him. I just got yours, Suzuna. Thank you! It was a wonderful surprise. I also got the one from Az, Jaryth, Ichiko, and Haru Haru. Thank you, guys! The drawings are so awesome! I was so excited to see them. I will take photos of everything to post later.

I've gotten 3 so far, one from Mitsuki, one from Ilvias and one from Suzuna. All of them have been so great, ichiko loves them ( though Az did try to make off with some of the treats that Suzuna sent!) I'm glad to hear that so far the cards my crazy bunch sent out are being well received.

 

XD I was looking up in your database thread to make a card for your girls Mitsuki, but when my boys saw how many lovely ladies you have, they couldn't resist.

 

I scolded Az about that letter, but he just gave me a bit of a smirk, did he plan it that way? >.<'

I just got Ivias's card. It is so cute! Thank you! You said that Latooni and Fortuna would participate in the card exchange, but I couldn't resist sending another card for Estel and Juno.

 

I think all of Az's plans always work. He is too irresistible!

 

I hope littlebearries's cards arrive soon. I don't have too much faith in the post office. A package I got recently seemed to take forever while others came quickly.

I'm sorry I just find it oh-so-funny. Az doesn't usually plan such things.I swear I really need to introduce Ichiko to my troublemakers. Two of them in the house currently, but the third has already declared his arrival will be soon.

 

 

I know how you feel Littlebearries, I'm glad to hear others have gotten my cards because my Post Office seems to hate sending off things I mail that aren't large packages with like a million types of insurance. Hopefully it's just the mail being slow and we'll be getting your cards soon. ^^

Ok, I can finally start dressing up my girls to share here!

 

First up is Ryomou. She has decided that she wants to dress up as a Japanese Fashion Idol. I found this cool Alna default set for sale and just had to get it ( Thanks Ilvias! ) and when Ryomou saw it, she begged to try it out!

I know this isn't really Dollfie related but I wanted to share here since this *is* the Halloween thread!

 

I had been wanting to do a cool pumpkin carving for a while now and I never had the urge to try something really special. I always just did the same old Jack O' Lantern style faces and such. But this year, I found myself with some extra time on my hands and I decided to just go for it.

 

I downloaded a pattern online from Google images of just a random anime girls face. I printed it out and then watched a 3 minute video on how to do all this. After that, I took my X-Acto knives out along with my trusty Swiss Army Knife and set to work. Here's what I came up with:

 

 

All the lighter shaded areas you see were basically chiseled away by me using a regular old pocket knife. I transferred the pattern to the pumpkin by taping the paper over the front and then using a thumbtack to poke holes in the shape of the pattern thru the paper. Then I used the pocket knife to cut lines connecting the dots together. Then I dug out the areas with the knife that didn't need to be there.

 

After most of the face appeared, I went back with one of those plastic pumpkin carving tool sets you find in Walmart for five bucks and cleaned out areas in cracks and corners. I also did detail work with it. Then I used a spoon to flatten all those open areas you see that aren't the outer skin.

 

And then I put 3 small tealight candles inside and got this:

 

 

The three bright spots of light you see, two in her eyes and one on her tooth, are holes I was told to cut thru to the inside to let light out. It gives a really cool shine effect!

 

 

All total from printing the pattern to inserting the candles, this took me about 2 hours to do. And I have never done a pumpkin carving this intricate in my life. So if *I* can do this, so can you!

Wow.. that is good work you did there Billy I'm not a big fan of pumpkin, don't want to carve one and throw it away... such a waste, so I've never done a pumpkin carve before

I was so glad that the pos office strike went over in time to send the cards... And now when I looked at the tracking today I find a strange message. I called the post service, and looks like they lost my parcels!

 

They didn't gave much details, but looks like the truck with the parcels from my city was stoled!

 

So, monday I will go to the post office and post new postcards. At least I made extras, so I will be able to send even the treats again.

 

It makes me sad how the world is... steal an post office truck? And the worst is that is not the first time it happens to me.... last time was when expecting an super rare Utena garage kit....

That sucks Saluli. There's a lot of losers in this world.

 

Nice work on the pumpkin BIlly, and that outfit is a good one for Halloween as the way the plaid part sits it looks like it's alive or something.

Ryomou is too cute in that outfit. She looks like a real idol. Do you have a microphone for her?

That's horrible Saluli! I can't imagine what sort of jerk would steal a Post Office truck like that. It's good that you had extras, but that's a very troubling situation. Hopefully it won't happen with the extras.
