Removing face-up: stains?

Recommended Posts

Azy

Hello everyone,

I decided that this holiday I will try my first face-up . The girl I will be giving a new face-up is the Marisa that I've had for sale for quite a while, because her look wasn't entirely what I was looking for. Unfortunately no one wants to buy her, so now I'm trying this to hopefully bond better with her!

I've read through many tutorials on DDs.com and elsewhere, but I would still like some advice. I removed her face-up with a 96% alcohol solution. While most of her face-up came off easily, the blushing and lip color is still there. Now, I'm either doing something incorrectly or the blushing stained her head and I would like to know how to solve this problem. I think they are stains because I've rubbed for quite a while with the alcohol solution, but it didn't get any lighter. I've already looked for Remove Zit or something similar, but I wasn't able to find it in the Netherlands.

Here's a picture:

It's hard to get the stains to show up in the picture, but it's on her nose, around her eyes, on her cheeks and her mouth.

Any help is appreciated !

With those blush stains you will need to use Remove-Zit, I couldn't get them locally so i had to order them from from Twinpines.

If you can find it nearby, look for 'Magic Eraser' or something similar with the cleaning supplies. The generic name is melamine foam. It's basically a very fine abrasive sponge and can clean off any material that is not a stain. If that doesn't do the trick, an application of benzoyl peroxide acne cream can lighten stains. I'd try those before using the remove-zit, since it sometimes damages the surface of vinyl.
