finnleo Posted August 6, 2014 Well.. another day, another theme. This time I decided to finally get the few outdoor shots done I decided I would do while still on summer vacation. My back yard isnt much anymore with the monsoons beating everything to the ground, and now the heatwave finishing off what was left, but atleast there's some shrubbery to make things atleast appear like a mini forest of sorts.. These were meant as a bit of a dress rehearsal photos for tomorrow morning, but as Nina's bad lack would have it, she fell face first into something that decided to stain her cheek... again.. damnit. This girl really wants to get re-face-upped apparently.. But here are the few photos that managed to take despite the setback... and ants roaming the yard. No fancy poses this time. nina009 nina010 nina011 nina012 nina013 nina014 nina015 nina016 nina017 Thanks for looking.
FreelancerAlphaOneDashOne Posted August 6, 2014 I can only imagine what it must have been like watching Nina fall over. I remember what I felt the last time I watched one of my dolls fall over just outside my reach... my lovely little cat jumped up onto the table she was being worked on and decided to be affectionate to her by rubbing up against her... the result was the doll falling off the table onto the floor. Did you try an action movie style last-second catch? How bad is the staining? finnleo Posted August 7, 2014 Did you try an action movie style last-second catch? How bad is the staining? Nope.. no last minute lunges as I was well out of arms reach, and me camera in between. The stain was a red smudge on her left cheek that had already been stained once and had been even sanded because of other damage. Didn't come out with soap, but apparently a magic eraser, or white-sponge got it out thankfully.
foo Posted August 8, 2014 Wow, Nina's so cute, and the photos are so natural. I always enjoy seeing Youmu out of her default (particularly her eyes), you've made her look wonderful.

Thank you very many. mm.. Youmus default eyes are a bit weird. I've said it myself in her arrival post that the combo with her petite nose, they make her look a bit serpent-like.. but taken out their not half bad a pair of bright green eyes. currently im not even 100% sure about these current eyes, eventhough they are good match to the Anime character I thought I saw in the faceup.. but shall see what happens.
