Things I learned during the making of this photo story:

 

1. I hate shooting on partially cloudy days, even more than I hate full sun (my ideal is mostly cloudy). If you're wondering why the colors keep changing, it's because some photos were taken in full sun and some with the clouds blocking the sun.

 

2. I should probably upgrade my photo editing software.

 

3. Always know where you put your robot, especially if he's the same color as the grass.

 

Also: If you look closely, yes, the robot is reading a martini guide.

Cute photo story. Though, drinking martini's may cause rust for the robot.

 

As an aside; does your camera have AE lock (auto exposure lock)? If so, that can help with the changing light.

I really like this story a lot. >__< It kind of reminds me of myself. If I ever see a little animal that looks scared and alone, and if I ever saw a little robot, I'd probably do the exact same thing. Pick it up and try to be friends with it. >__< Then take it home of course.

I don't think the robot's old enough to drinking martinis, more likely making them for his new friend. So no rust worries.

I think we can all agree, this is sooooo cute! I love the simplicity of each shot and the subtle nuances in every movement. Wonderful job and again, adorable.

What a super cute photostory. Apple is so charming, as is the robot. Though the title gave me certain expectations I love how the progression of photos made it a mystery what she was looking for in the grass. When she found the robot it was perfect, especially when the robot was so friendly and adorable.

Thank you so much! It really means a lot. I actually find these stories really hard to do, because you have to focus on very simple, straightforward stories. But I really enjoy the challenge! It's the ultimate "show, don't tell" experience.

Thaaaaaaank you! I'm really trying to get better at posing DDs so that they're more natural. Although I have a bunch of photos with Apple mid-fall, because she did not enjoy the bumpy / grassy ground! Even with a stand, she took a bunch of falls.

Much appreciated! I actually hadn't planned the robot to be a mystery, but then I arrived at the park and he was the same color as the grass. It was fated to be!
