Resin dolls anybody?

Odd question... have any of you ever sold a resin doll because they became creepy?

 

I still like Irene, but her eyes follow me too well. And my brain feels like her expression is a frown sometimes based on the angle I'm looking at her.

Hmmm, can't say that's happened to me. I've sold a doll out of sheer frustration, though -- she was quite lovely IRL, but never looked very good in photographs.

*nod* She does look good in photos, and in real life, especially now. But, the eyes follow me around the room, and I'm tall enough it really makes her look like she's scowling. And, while I know it's not real and it's just an optical illusion it is freaky.

misskale, maybe you got too good eyes for her . Acrylic eyes won't follow you

Most "generic" glass eyes won't follow, either

Yeah, these are glass eyes (I had thought they were acrylic and then checked), so that might be part of it. You can see below.

I'm thinking of getting a SD Nana to replace my Delf Miyu, Aria.

 

I really wanted a SWD Nono, I found one on Mandarake today, but the money I have saved up will go towards Rise and hopefully I'll sell my Miyu and use that that money for Nana. Nono will be gone by the time she sells

I absolutely adore tiny bjds (larger ones not so much- I ended up selling my SD Nono and SD13 Nana). I also have two additional Lati Yellows ordered (Lea and Kuku from the Little Prince set) and just got blindsided by the new Fairyland event/announcements so I may have caved and ordered fullsets of both Mio and Zio ^^;

I just purchased a new doll head second hand...very close to my dream doll...A Volks Rose! I'm getting anxious, I sent the payment yesterday and am waiting for the seller to give me an update on the shipping

I own a lot of dolls in general but at least most of the bjds are tinies I just seem to have a lot more fun playing with tinies versus the larger dolls, which is probably a good thing as I can't quite fathom where I would put the SDs if I had as many SD as I do tinies in addition to my DD. I'm not saying I'll never get another SD sized doll but the only ones I really, really want are the rest of the Rozen Maidens (though I would not turn down Victorique or Chii either) which are prohibitively expensive... and maybe an Iplehouse SID Eric.

 

I adore Pongpong, Pongpong and Ante are my favorite Fairyland dolls. I was so excited when I heard that a Littlefee Pongpong had been announced as part of Fairyland's new event that is until I found out it was a boy, I would have ordered him immediately had he been a girl. I'm sure I'll end up ordering him eventually but I don't fancy boy dolls as much so I may try and trade his body for a girl one (my friend offered to dremmel away the offending bits for me but that sounded rather horrifying so I passed on the offer).

I think I'm the opposite I like the big dolls a lot (which is why I'm a little nervous for Pong, but I can't resist that face), although they are way too annoying to transport

 

Oh my gosh I had no clue there was a LE Littlefee Pong @_@ And a boy pong at that! I've found out that, as much as I want a boy doll (and I have one currently) I do enjoy the girls more
