Resin dolls anybody?

I'm sure there's people in the Resin Soul discussion thread on DOA who would know better. I don't have this doll in particular, but my minis (they measure about 7 inches around the head) wear 7-8 wigs. I think this should work fine for you too. If it's a bit big, you can use a rubber band or a wig cap to help it fit better.

Found your post there... probably your question was too specific and no one knew the answer ^_^ I have a 9/10 wig from Crobi for my Delf boy, he'd normally fit 8/9, but it just fits. So I think Crobi wigs fit a bit tight/they don't stretch much. I wouldn't risk buying the smaller size, but that's just my view.

OK, thanks, the stretchiness was more or less what I wanted to know. I guess I didn't phrase it right, or else a lot of those guys don't have Crobidoll wigs.

As far as I know Crobi wigs really don't stretch much, the ones I have definitely don't and the 8/9 are really tight and definitely more on the 8 side instead of the 9

My RS Mei wears a 6-7. It's a J-pop wig of some kind. Initially I had to turn it inside out and put it on that way. Now it goes on just fine like it's supposed to. Guess it stretched lol.

 

Resinsouls are so awesome. Since the last time I posted, I got a BBB Isabella named Cassie and a Resinsoul Li named Penny. I put a DZ annie on layaway and her name will be Jack. And I just emailed RS about the layaway policies, b/c Rong is on sale. So there's a possibility of another one lol.

Jey and I have several BJDs, but one of the ones most special to me is Lina. She's an original character of mine. She used to be a DD until I reshelled her as a BJD recently. She's a Volks SD13 Jun Tachibana. :3

So this isn't just a wall-o-text, I thought I'd show my favourite of all my dolls Nialy (she's a Teenie Gem Ai)

I have to agree that wig is utterly awesome! There should be more like this.

 

I'm tired of being a lurker in this thread though. It gets frustrating to me seeing people posting in the Unicorn threads because my true unicorns are some resin boys. Specifically SoulDoll Kanguk & Lionel. Every time I see them I have to scrape myself off of the floor. Stunning doesn't even begin to describe them. Kanguk looks like a glasses guy character (Kian) in some of my stories I write, and eyes shaped like his are hard to find for that exact look I was going for. He's a rich boy mage that turns pirate in my favorite version of his storyline. Eventually he discovers a strange looking guy washed up on the beach where his hideout is (for lack of a better description), soggy but dressed in very expensive clothes, trimmed with plenty of ruffles and lace. The Lionel character turns out to be an outcast merman (forced to become human) and is pretty much cast on the beach to die as punishment for some unknown (but heinous) crime. The charicter was really hard for me to describe even though I had a clear picture in my mind, so when I found Lionel, he literally looked like he had stepped out of my head. The white hair and skin, the faceup shading and even the eyes that look like fish eyes was just too perfect. The merman was supposed to have been part Angelfish, hence the coloring and all the overdone lace, but he is the most manipulative a**hole I can think of. But that face... Even with Kian's high breeding the merman treats him as if he is about as cultured as a street rat, with the looks to match.

 

These two especially are unicorns to me because unlike my DD, they don't need a bunch of modding to get them to be who their characters are. When I stop to think that it's about the same price for both of these guys as it is for Kos-Mos, I just want to kick myself. I have been haunting the SoulDoll site for months now, and these two are just too gorgeous to ignore.

 

While I'm at it, I have to add two more to my Unicorn BJD list who are also story characters: Cherishdoll's Miho and Iplehouse's Chase. Miho was the first BJD I ever saw that was "my story person turned real". I was in complete shock when I saw him because by that point I had at least 50+ pages of his first story down and I had been writing furiously for months. The only thing that is 'wrong' about his pictures is his clothes because my version they live in a magical Victorian world. I love how sweet, perfect and innocent his face is and then I'd name him Ollie because it sounds so unrefined. Chase (Tomas) would need everything changed to be right, but at least the 1st version of his faceup is right, and the sculpt is perfect too. He's supposed to have dark brown hair and eyes but those are easy to fix. Looking at those faces and then reading some of their dialog just cracks me up because their unrefined speech patterns. This is after the boys buy some food from a shopkeeper and go back into the street:

 

“‘Kindly please sir!’ Me hi Ollie, what be that fer?” Displeased looks from the grumpy cherub didn’t curb Tomas’ merriment.

“Cheeky codfish, couldn’ta help meself. Me mum would smack me noggin if she didn’ta hear meself say it. Knuckles like a fist full o’ marbles they be when she is inna mind ta do it.”

 

I honestly can't imagine not getting these boys, but it's hard not being concerned that they will be discontinued before I get a chance to. That's normally how my luck runs. Until then I'll just feel like the little girl with her nose pressed up against the doll store window.
