Resin dolls anybody?

I started in the resin hobby to.

I've had various dolls and have gone from exclusively male to all female. Here are my current girls:

 

 

Cecelia, she is an angell studio Paddy head borrowing a pink angel of dream body, the resin does not match at all but I hope to have a body for her very soon.

 

 

This WAS Cecelia before I re shelled her into the AS Paddy head, I'm much happier with her now. I do still have this doll, she is a B&G Hera and I've given her a fresh look, she's still waiting on her wig, eyes and for me to make her a decent dress but she has a brand new faceup and I've decided to make her into, Lillium, an OC I've had since I was about 16.

 

I also have another head incoming who will be my 3rd MSD resin girl and then even more, 2 Minifee Chloe's but 1 might be just for the body xD.

i received my first ABJD in January, since then i've been pretty much hooked and i've actually been focusing on expanding my ABJD family more than my DD one right now, so i'm... "expecting"? not in that way, but you know...

The new wigs I ordered for Thaddeus arrived yesterday and I played around with them today. The blonde one looked terrible on him, but this dark brown one suits him very nicely.

Got around to taking new pics of my DD Mari's boyfriend. It's summer so he's using that as an excuse to prance around shirtless (as usual)...

If Kaylus doesn't have anything better to do, he could come visit Tamayuki and prance around my house.

 

But then he would have to deal with Dolly challenging him to a Twinkie eating contest. I think Dolly would use any excuse to stuff his face with sweets.

I don't think he'd have too much luck getting her into the box in the first place. Besides, there are two other cats in the house who would be much better to give as presents. The only way anyone would notice Sarah's disappearance, would be by the reduced wear and tear on the door hinges. And you know Moose would just cause no end of trouble if his big sister wasn't around to help keep him in line.

Her name is Natali and she's from Doll-Love company.

Been a while since I took pictures of this gal. Poor thing's been sitting on the shelf with the rest of my MSD resin dolliehs. I forgot how pretty her sculpt was. Hopefully she will be going to a new home soon where she will get the attention she deserves.

Just got my first BJD yesterday. She's an AOD Meng Li. I came across her on ebay when I was looking for DD stuff and since Volks is taking so long with the restock, I decided to buy her instead lol. I told the guy I wanted pink-normal skin...but apparently he didn't get that memo. She has yellow-normal or white skin...not entirely sure lol. She came with this turquoise fur wig with black hairs mixed in. I haven't decided on a name for her yet. And don't have any pictures yet, b/c I don't have a good enough camera and my phone won't upload to my computer anymore.

 

Just thought this was worth mentioning. This being my first doll period...wow they're big lol. I looked at a measuring tape to figure out how big they were but it's not the same as actually seeing them in "person."

totally agree with you Cauldy! pretty much every head has no gender until it's painted and put on a body when it comes to MNF dolls, i feel. funny story, my other MNF, Viorica was apparently twinned with another ShuShu who was sold to someone else on Doa...and they turned her lost twin into a lovely ladyboy. so that just drives the point home...

my first BJD was also an AoD! i have a pure love/hate relationship with that company but i love my doll - she is still the best BJD i own. mine is a Yuki, i probably posted her earlier in the thread. for me it's more about weight than scale- she's about as tall as any DD but weighs so much more, and she isn't even the heaviest doll i own (i think that would be my PW V. Goldie). anyway, despite the mess up with the skintone, how are you feeling about Meng Li? it took me a little while to really warm up to my Yuki.

My complete girl is a 1/4 Loongsoul Momo with pink skin and the large bust option. Her name is Veronica.

I see your point. I only have one DD and one Mini girls. But after playing and dressing my DD I feel like my msd is way to small. I'm more use to the size of my DD. I think may be because is more easy to dress her because of her size.

 

I love iplehouse sculpts. I was going to order Amy, but at the last minute I felt in love with Momo and order her instead.

 

 

I would like one of the Loongsoul 69cm girl, but they are way to expensive and take like 4-5 months to be ready. I'm not good at waiting.

Honestly it didn't take me any time at all to warm up to her. She's awesome. I bought her on ebay through one of their distributors (emailed aod first to confirm) so the skin mix up isn't that much of a surprise. But going through the ebay seller I got a free face-up that looks better than the purplish one they have for Meng Li on AOD's website. So you win some you lose some. I really liked the blue eyes they picked for her and the wig they picked worked really well. I tried the blonde fur wig I got for PG on her, but her skin is just too pale/yellow for that. Last night she sat on the edge of my bed with her feet dangling over while we watched Code Geass....or while I watched Code Geass at least lol. My only real complaint is the hands...why cant' the be like a default pose, not some weird one bent finger. And why can't both of them be the same if nothing else? lol. Also she's strung really tight (guessing, no comparison lol) so I'm afraid to take her apart and suede her, b/c she definitely needs sueded lol. She just about kicked me in the face last night. That stuff aside I'm already looking at more AOD dolls...maybe just a 1/4 this time though. For me the price is the big thing. I honestly can't see myself spending 800-1000 on a doll (Yoko Littner will be an exception some day) so the AoD dolls are perfect for me.
