anyone who doesn't like the Volks nightie I'm here ~

Considering their names, Mirai and Candy, they could be the first two molds just standardized... hard to say from these pictures for sure, interestingly enough they seem to have their original style wigs also as default.

 

Wonder if they will start reselling the wigs styles also as separate items... since personally im a sucker for those candy braided ponytails.

Judging from the page on the left, it looks like they are the first two molds standarized.

DDdy and MDD bodies and option parts will be sold soon in semi-white skin (if I read what little I understand correctly).

the new standard girls are pretty cute! It's also nice for volks to actually provide clothes that isn't JUST the nightie along with them, I hope they actually make this a thing for the other girls

 

EDIT: also, if they're releasing MDD and DDdy in semi-white, why can't they release the MDD in white skin? I'm pretty sure a fair share of people want them white skinned MDD's too < m>

Looks like Candy (blonde) with be a DDdy in NS and Mirai (brunette) will be a DD in SWS.

 

Although I'm not interested in either of them (not a fan of the Candy/Mirai mold, it looks too old-school anime for me), I'm really excited to see new standards. The lottos have been... extra brutal lately? So it's good that there are more readily available entry models for new fans.

Oh my! Mirai is such a cutie! I just might try to get her. Especially with that white dress set. But I really want to see more pictures first. If she is as cute as those pictures look, I hope Volks doesn't release her before december... December is when I get my tax refunds and that's when I could afford her. I know as a standard model she'll be available later too, but I'm worried that dress set won't be.

Oooooh I want Mirai AND Candy! Dangit. Time to start talking to husband person to see if we can afford it.

Oh nice! I've actually wondered ever since the 05 got standardized why Mirai and Candy weren't. It's really nice to see that mold with a modern faceup; I've always thought the really early DD faceups were kind of. . . blunt, and didn't do the molds justice.

 

Hopefully they'll be available blank down the line! I want to really see what people can do with those heads, you know?

 

Also it's nice they're doing option parts in SWS for DDDy and MDD, but I also find myself asking, "What about white?" White predates SWS, and demand ought to be as high for it I'd think. :/

Looks to me like they are both DDs, Candy has an L bust and Mirai an S.

 

This is an interesting turn of events. If they were to become standard blank heads I wonder how their numbers would compare to their original releases.

Now we just need semiwhite 09 and my life is complete!

I see the words "Doll Point" plastered on that page though, and from where it's located it looks like the N type are exclusive to that location. Kind of a bummer, as I think those are the more versatile.

I get the impression that Volks are trying phase out the white skin, I don't believe that it's all that popular due to it being very hard to photograph compared to NS and SWS. Some people also found it unnaturally pale, especially since SWS came along.

I have to agree with you, it seems like Volks has been pushing SWS very hard since its release. If they release SWS DDDy and MDD parts, IMO that will be a clear indication that WS is not a priority. Given the length of time WS has been out, we should have had DDDy and MDD body’s/parts by now

This has always been a bit of a headache for me personally looking at custom heads for instance. Like now I have three WS heads without bodies, and at the moment neither DDS or DD3 parts are fully in stock at Volks for it (last I checked atleast).
