Iachion Posted September 12, 2011 If anybody remembers I adopted my first DD back in Mid-August and well...I really haven't had the time to post a arrival post for her yet. And she's been insisting that I write one up for her for awhile now so.... And I apologize if the pictures aren't greatest I'm still really new to DD's so my posing skills aren't really the greatest yet and I'm not really that great at photography, but I'm learning! And another note I don't have any pictures of her in the box because well...I was way to eager to see her so I really didn't take any pictures... Now with all that out of the way let's meet Airy! DSC_0694 by Iachion, on Flickr She didn't like me getting that close... DSC_0767 by Iachion, on Flickr Airy: Bye, Bye everyone! Airy: There will be more once Iachion decides to buy me some more clothes and accessories! Me: *sweatdrop* Airy: What? You can't expect me to wear this around all the time can you? Me: I guess not... Anyways thank you again for reading! I'm sorry it took me so long to post!
XOHimitsuOX Posted September 12, 2011 (edited) NP about the photos, as long as you're having fun Let your imagination run wild. I use scenes from films, games, anime or photos of models as guidelines. If you haven't got any hands, maybe that should be near the top of your shopping list. Beware buying clothes and accessories can be addictive Take lots of photos and try out different settings on the camera, its a good way of learning how to use the camera. Set your camera to shoot in RAW (if it can), it will make post processing easier. I'm not good at photography, but i like taking pics of my girls Edited September 12, 2011 by Guest
baldylox Posted September 12, 2011 Congrats on finally showing her off a bit! And I agree with Himitsu on a few points, mainly that you shouldn't worry too much on pics yet. I think these look fine. As for the other thing, Himitsu is correct about buying clothing.... it's addictive! But it's also fun to spoil the heck out of your girl. Billy I gave up counting the girls I own, they keep multiplying and won't stop.
Kumi Posted September 12, 2011 Congrats for getting the one of the prettiest DD PS. I see, that You have Nikon D3000 (haha, I spied Your flickr). It's a great camera, just learn to use it.

scripple Posted September 13, 2011 Congrats on your first girl, Airy is a cute one. I do think you need to get her more clothes though. I mean the whole mini-skirt nun outfit just doesn't work for casual occasions. Check out my new DollFun website. Share your own doll photos with free image hosting. archangeli Posted September 13, 2011 Congrats on your first girl!! Don't be afraid to bend her headress to get a better fit to her head It'll bend back flat if you need to store it. Archangeli.net | Twitter: @MsArchangeli | YouTube: Archangeli
Alphakitty Posted September 13, 2011 Congrats on your first girl, Airy is a cute one. I do think you need to get her more clothes though. I mean the whole mini-skirt nun outfit just doesn't work for casual occasions. I think this is a doll that really demands some alternate outfits--her outfit is just SO fancy that it doesn't work for casually sitting around the house. She's got a great faceup/sculpt that work with a lot of different looks, it's interesting to see how different all the board member's Airys' are. As a side note, when I got my Aerie in my dad asked what she was and I responded with, "a nun!" He said, "uh, with that skirt? I don't think so!" Nakitaninja Posted September 13, 2011 FIRST DD!!!!! Yay~ Congrats!!! It's such an exciting time. I'm so happy for you and your gorgeous girl!
OtakuDepot Posted September 13, 2011 Congrats on your first girl - Oh, nothing as exciting as the first one. Airy sure looks lovely, I really love her cute Nun outfit. (habit). I agree with information about posing, check out some of the posters her eon the site that have poses you like, try to mimic them. I find paying attention to little things like pointing their foot in a certain way can help a lot. If you ever have photography questions as away in the photography section - we have a number of really good people here that would love to help out. What helped me the most is getting more (aka - better) light. Taking good photos in regular room light is difficult. On camera flash leaves a lot to be desired as well. (I'll stop now.... Balldylox and Jun know how I can ramble one about photography - hehe) **James. dreamcore Posted September 15, 2011 Congrats! Airy is one of the prettiest DDs out there! I've been procrastinating on making an arrival post myself, so it's nice to know I won't be the only one who put it off for awhile.

I'll defiantly have to take a look and see if it has a mode like that the next time I do another photo shoot. And yes I can see how shopping can become addictive, I've already found alot of stuff that I would love to get her. (My poor wallet...) Hands are actually going to be one of my first purchases for her, and a stand since I'm afraid she will take a nosedive off of my desk. Congrats on finally showing her off a bit! And I agree with Himitsu on a few points, mainly that you shouldn't worry too much on pics yet. I think these look fine. I guess I just worry to much about photo quality.... Haha...My girl is going to be spoiled alright....(My wallet weeps...) Congrats for getting the one of the prettiest DD PS. I see, that You have Nikon D3000 (haha, I spied Your flickr). It's a great camera, just learn to use it. Thank you! I really adore her as well! Wellll....I actually borrowed that camera from one of my family members since I don't actually own a usable camera of my own. Congratulations on your first girl! Thank you Suzuna! Congratulations! She is so adorable! Thank you Mitsuki! And I agree she is really adorable! Congrats on your first girl, Airy is a cute one. I do think you need to get her more clothes though. I mean the whole mini-skirt nun outfit just doesn't work for casual occasions. Thank you Scripple! Poor Airy has received so many comments about her outfit: "Is she a nun? Just what kind nun is she?!" So some casual clothing is a must at this point... Congrats on your first girl!! Don't be afraid to bend her headress to get a better fit to her head It'll bend back flat if you need to store it. Thank you Archangeli! When I did those photos I was kind of nervous about breaking it (since I already broke a zipper off one of boots...) but since then I've found that is quite sturdy and have bent it so it stays on her head better. As a side note, when I got my Aerie in my dad asked what she was and I responded with, "a nun!" He said, "uh, with that skirt? I don't think so!" I've actually had very similar conversations like that with my friends and family...Poor Airy >.< FIRST DD!!!!! Yay~ Congrats!!! It's such an exciting time. I'm so happy for you and your gorgeous girl! Thank you Nakitaninja! It is an exciting time...I'm very glad I picked her to be my first! Balldylox and Jun know how I can ramble one about photography - hehe) **James. Thank you OtakuDepot! I really like her Nun outfit as well! But she wants some more casual clothes so she can be more comfortable lounging around the house. And that is some pretty good advice, I've been doing that some since I'm constantly playing around with her. But I will try looking at some of the smaller details and try mimicking it with her. I will do that! And after looking through my photos again I actually think that lighting is my main problem right now, who knew that indoor photography could be so difficult >.<, so I'll probably have a ton of questions on that once I do some research on it. And it's fine if you ramble, I might learn some useful tips! Congratz on your first DD!! Hope you 2 have fun together!! Wayne Thank you Waynio! Congrats! Airy is one of the prettiest DDs out there!I've been procrastinating on making an arrival post myself, so it's nice to know I won't be the only one who put it off for awhile. Thank you Dreamcore!
