Characters you would like to see as Dollfie Dreams

I would love to see an official Kaito DD! In fact, I've been holding off getting my first vinyl in hopes of Kaito being my first, but it's taking Volks way too long to release him. :<

 

Alternatively, I think Kizuna AI would be pretty cute as a DD too. (Though it's probably never gonna happen.)

There's a Figma on the way. So, I wouldn't say that it's too unlikely that Volks could license the likeness as well.

Two scale figures too; one from GSC and one from...Kadokawa I think it was.

It does seem like Volks is due to put out one of the male Vocaloids. Since it looks like they have something to say at Magical Mirai we'll see what comes out.

Been rewatching Shinkyoku Soukai Polyphonica. And I have to say I'd love to have Coatie, plus she has some absolutely wonderful and lovely outfits. But the problem there is to do her right you'd need two dolls, a DDS M bust for when she's Coatie, and a DDdy for her full spirit form as Coathicarte. But they have several Sabers, so it's not unheard of for Volks. But it's just to old and not very well known. I would totally buy both.

I'm not sure if I should be looking forward to her being made into a DD... On one hand, I'd love to have her just hanging around my PC, but on the other, I'm trying to keep my collection small for the time being...

Yup, the Vocaloid. Though if they do announce him at Magical Mirai, my DD family would see an immediate jump from 1 to 2. And then probably to 4 shortly after. XD

... I’d also like to see a Rally Vincent from Gunsmith Cats too. However, I think her wig would be a pain in the arse.

I'd love to see pretty much any Kenichi Sonoda character as a DD. I think his art style would make a really cute doll. I'm partial to his Suchie Pai characters (mahjong videogame series).

Rally would be cool.

 

I would like to see several of the characters from Gall Force, and Sylia Stingray from Bubblegum Crisis as DD.

 

Actually Sylia should probably be an SD16.

I am not holding my breath on new doll announcements at this year's MM mainly because Luka only got announced last year, and there seems to typically be a 2 year wait between doll announcements. I'm just expecting a bunch more outfits (particularly for Rin/Len/Luka) but honestly who can say, I have been wrong many times this year on my Volks predictions (plus, if I dont expect it, its a much better surprise rather than a disappointment) I think theyre most likely going to make him, especially since they made Kirito, the question is when.

I'd definitely love to see Girls und Panzer characters (especially the Frenchies, and Darjeeling) and maybe Strike Witches characters ; especially since I could do Striker units out of 1/32 scale plane models for them!

 

Oh, Girls Frontline stuff would be cool as well.

I skimmed through the thread to see if anyone had brought it up, and I was surprised no one had mentioned the girls from the Atelier video games. If someone did, I missed it.

 

One of the things I thought was funny was how early in the topic there was a lot of wishing for KOS-MOS and simultaneously a lack of belief it would ever happen.

 

Sinclair posted an image of a Saber in a kimono style dress. I've seen that outfit for sale somewhere. I can't recall where, though.

And now that they have a licensing arrangement with SE I would add Yuna, Rikku, Paine from FF X-2, and Hrist from the Valkyrie Profile series.

I'm watching Steins; Gate for the first time (I know, I know, I'm late) and I have to strongly second the motion for Makise Kurisu. I know there is an Azone50, but the sculpting and painted eyes aren't to my taste. I'm hoping that S;G 0 will prompt Volks to get the license to make her, but I'm not holding my breath :/

If they make her I'd hope they'd base her on the original Huke character design instead of whoever did the designs for the "remastered" game. (I'm only familiar with the games so I don't know about the anime.)

Someone was selling a Bowsette custom head on Y!JA a few days ago! While she wouldn't ever be an official release, I wouldn't be surprised to see some such custom versions floating around.

I've already seen a custom Booette (Is that the right name?) DD on Flicker.

Thanks for the links, cfx! That KOS-MOS looks great as Bowsette! I prefer Bowsette over Booette, but Booette looks nice to. I hope to see a Bowsette head that has her smiling, so that her fangs are exposed. I wonder if that's even possible to do?
