Characters you would like to see as Dollfie Dreams

Sometimes I wish they'd get a license for Touken Ranbu 'cause that would definitely mean boys in all sizes. I haven't played the game (yet) and I didn't watch the Hanamaru anime but I enjoyed Katsugeki Touken Ranbu by ufotable a lot. Kanesada Izuminokami as a DD(dy) boy would be perfect~ ♥️

Yeah I agree with Touken Ranbu, and their boat-girl-collection counterpart (both would require a VPN due to DMM JP site blocking foreign traffic for obvious reasons), though I understand why licensing is tricky due to who owns what. Volks can use the hobby division to come up with the boat bits for the latter. It'll be funny if they do both, cause that means people will just get the two Mikazukis from both games.

Lol luckily I've missed all that because I got into Frontier way late. xD I'd been listening to Sheryl's songs 'cause I was a fan of May'n and my brother watched Frontier when it came out & introduced me to the songs, but he told me that the anime isn't worth watching so... I didn't actually watch it until I fell in love with DD Sheryl and bought her, which was in 2015. But then again, I don't really discuss anime anywhere online so I miss out on most fandom wars, thankfully. I only argue about anime with my bro & a few friends every once in a while, haha. xD (I didn't really have a problem with Ranka until she got all whiny over Sheryl liking the same boy as her. After that she was just insufferable so I became team Sheryl lol).

I was confused for a while by "boat girls" but I suppose you're talking about Kantai Collection? I don't really know anything about that but like with Fate series, I've been kinda overexposed to it while browsing the figure market so I'm not super keen on the idea of Volks hopping on that bandwagon. :'D Some of the girls do have pretty designs (like Kashima) and could make interesting DDs, but yeah... I'm pining after boys more at the moment. I suppose when it comes to anime vinyl dolls, girl characters will always be dominant but if Volks could release one male doll a year (or every two years at the very least) I'd be more than happy.

I do love all my girls but I really want some boys too (part of why I focused on resin BJDs for as long as I did before getting a DD was the fact that I could also get male dolls ranging from pretty boys to handsome men). Especially a more manly guy to go with my Sheryl on DDdy body would be amazing. 💕 I adore Len but he's such a baby (and a shorty) next to her. Heck, he's shorter than Rin too... x'D

Yep, I was talking about Kantai Collection. It's still immensely popular despite having it's position dethroned by F/GO a while back, and the over-saturation is kinda expected due to the sheer amount of popular characters (like Kashima). It would be kind of a fun idea since the DD can be released in two parts, one by the Dollfie division, the rigging and stuff by the hobby division.

As for characters I would love to see, it would be Kotoha Tanaka from IM@S Million Live/Theater Days (the same spin-off that gave us Yuriko Nanao). This is a girl who was sidelined from the franchise (in the final days of ML, without an appearance in TD, this was due to her voice actress taking a long sick leave) for more than a year, only to see her popularity explode upon her (re-)introduction to the franchise, so much that she kind of became the center of the spin-off (the girl pictured in the icon for TD, and the center in the game's official site banner).

Seeing as how Sakura Miku is in the works, I'd love a Racing Miku based on the Sappang design from the other year. A tanned Miku would look stellar and probably yield a ton of orders since there's already a lot of feedback asking for more CW options.

I agree!! I love the Racing Miku designs, and a tan version of Miku would be amaziiiiing.

I would love to see kaito and maiko hopefully they make them to complete the vocaloid family. I would love to see to love ru characters too! My fave is lala I’m currently making her and her sisters nana and momo. Lala is a 06 head momo in a DDH11 head and nana on a 09 head

I'd love to see 02 from Darling in the Franxx in a DD. I'd buy her right away!

Personally, I think Fujiwara Chika would make a great candidate! She is so cute! She is a character from Love Is War as well.

I'd like to see a Racing Miku 2015 costume.  Too bad the figma version didn't get a unicorn to go with it.

I'm still kinda bummed that Rem and Ram from Re:Zero ended up getting Azones instead of Dollfie Dreams.  That being said, I'd preorder a 02 or a Yumeko Jabami in a heartbeat.

This is the reason why I'm not making more boys XD they all look short next to the DDS girls when they wear heels (which is most of the time). I do love the boys I have created but I need to find a Kirito body (I believe it is taller than the DDSB body) to keep making more boys. I find many of the DD girls easy to turn into boys, I just need Volks to release the boy bodies as standard bodies. I need some variety in sizes but since my current boys and girls are connected and have similar ages I have them all in DDS bodies (Except for Crash, I got him on a 60cm Obitsu body which is taller than a DDS but I want to give him a Volks body in a similar size). If I ever include another boy in the group, I would want a taller one or one that looks like Sesshomaru.😍

Speaking of which, I would love to see a Sesshomaru DD and a Syaoran DDP (with Sakura ofc). I don't keep up with anime anymore so I don't know recent characters but a boy like Sesshomaru would be amazing, tall with broad shoulders and smaller eyes.

There are a lot of shows having anniversary’s and getting a anime reboot. I would like to see shows like Fruits  Basket, Cowboy bebop or Yu yu hakusho get the dollfie dream treatment.

I would love to see captor Sakura as a dollfie and zero two from darling in the franxx

I honestly want more elves, maybe some from Shining series'. I'm surprised we haven't seen any version of Zelda after BoTW and its huge success. Maybe even some DMC girls, theres an anime adaptation of that IP after all. 

Given that they have already made Touhou Dollfies, why isn't there an Alice Margatroid Dollfie? I mean, come on...

I think for me it would have to be Violet Evergarden, as an MDD.  Ooooomg I would buy her instantly. I can just imagine her beautiful eyes and outfit in Dollfie form! T_T 

I wish Lady Oscar has been made a DD instead of resin.

 

On another note it's SO heartwarming to see how many characters in this thread have been made a reality by Volks.

You know if they'd pull a saberface with Tohsaka Rin, and do an Ereshkigal, I'd be tempted.  Tecra needs her twin sister.

 

I'd love to see human Pokemon characters as dolls! If it ever happened, I assume that the trainers/protagonists would most likely be featured, but so many other characters have cool designs, such as the Subway Masters Emmet and Ingo and some of the gym leaders and villain team bosses. It would be cute if they came with Pokemon and fun accessories, too. ^_^

maybe the character designs are too simplistic to warrant an official treatment but I wouldn't mind seeing some of the popular characters from Kemono Friends made as MDDs I guess. Given how large their heads are relative to their bodies, they would look strange as DD or DDs.
