Omg yes please. I would love this so much. I have a couple of the mew mew dolls released back in the original anime release and I love them.

I would love to see Astolfo from the Fate series, as well as all the main characters from Final Fantasy 7.

Mitsuri Kanroji and Nezuko from Demon Slayer

Rukia Kuchiki, Orihime Inoue, Rangiku Matsumoto and Yoruichi Shihoin from Bleach! yes i did just list all my favorite female characters from Bleach XD

None of these are very likely, especially the Bleach characters. And Volks would have to make an entire new skintone for Yoruichi. Smartdoll would probably be able to get a license for her before Volks would.

Also, Ryuko and Satsuki from Kill la Kill! They probably wouldn't get made either cause the hype from that anime is completely gone 😂

Just started watching "My Next Life as a Villainess" and pretty much immediately wanted a Bakarina Catarina DD. But I mean. . .the whole friggen cast is charming as all get out and photogenic as hell, plus it'd be a great excuse for more DD boys.

SO DO I !!!!!! I was planning on doing her after Beatrice!! SHE IS SO CUTE!! Haha. I ruined staining Jibril’s leg staining it, so I just bought another one when I got a bunch of extras hands for her, Rem, Ram, and a body for Emilia (as well as hands; some are in different skin tones).

 

I’m working on Beatrice from Re:Zero right now. @jadepixel is amazing, and for a trade we did (ironically we live super close together, so we may be able to meet up for photoshoots after this pandemic!!) she gave me eyes she made herself for Beatrice. She’s extremely talented. I’m amazed at them. 

the bottom eyes are Beatrice, the top are Emilia’s original eyes from Volks (I like the eyes she made even more than Volks’ eyes so I won’t be trading them out

I’m not trying to advertise, but she just sold me Emilia and gave me a few extras; her resin eye making skills are top notch impressive. Just look at those Beatrice eyes and the eyes in Emilia’s sculpt).

 

I found a crown that’ll fit a MDD. Does anyone have an idea for her eyes? They’re always flat like that. I haven’t thought up a way to do that except by customizing a head physically. Not sure what head sculpt to use for her on a MDD body.

From the art you posted, she's got a "potato head."

A once-in-lifetime-event from me, I might suggest that Dollce head you like here because it's closer to the right shape than most anything else.

I think you would have to mod the eye holes to get that flat top. However, it might be that just painting the eyeliner like that without changing the actual eye shape may work. I'm not sure if that would look good, but dolls are painted like that all the time; random example:

That DWC-01 is probably what I’m going to buy. Actually, that for sure is what I’m going to buy. I was thinking to use the Dollce A “potato head” sculpt (I like that type of cuteness; but you know that ahaha) but the eyes are 22mm, and the head can hold 24mm eyes. So what I’m thinking of is getting that ball sander from Volks in 22mm, flatten the top of the DWC-01 sculpt and that should work fine. Of course, I’d do the eyeliner like that too, but I want it totally flat. I’ll get an eyeless sculpt and drill my own eyes if I have to.

If still on topic as official clothes I'd like to see made: The Kagamine Rin and Len dollfies with outfits of their Bad End Night designs. It just feels fitting since they're literally supposed to be dolls in the series, but I wouldn't be surprised if someone already custom-made them by now.

As for dolls themselves, I'll always be happy to see more Idolmaster girls. I think members of either Triad Primus or Lipps are possible, though I can't help but wonder how a Lipps Dollfie collab would work when there's also a Smart Doll collab going on. But they are two separate companies and Volks has already done several Cinderella Girls before, so I don't see why Lipps can't happen. (I love Shiki, but I can't say I like her Smart Doll; the mouth is kind of creepy up close...)

It's unfortunately sold out, but it does show that the flat eyes are definitely possible with a Dollfie Dream head 😊

I'm sure you'll do this anyway, but check the eye fit before doing any internal sanding. I don't have any eyes from @jadepixel (yet?) so I don't know about hers, but many resin eyes are effectively larger than their diameter suggests. I'll try to briefly explain: If you look at a pair of Volks eyes, they're a full hemisphere (with a bulge for the lens, but that isn't important here). Most resin eyes are a smaller section out of a sphere than a full hemisphere, so the curvature of the eye matches a larger eye size. In other words, a 22mm resin may fit like a 24mm Volks eye.

[Bonus trivia: Smart Doll eyes are like this; they are 22mm in diameter but are effectively 24mm eyes.]

Second point: I hope I can find this article again but I may not know where to look. The ball sander thing does work on vinyl, but not great, and tends to leave fuzz. On some random Japanese doll blog I saw where it was used, and then was dipped in acetone or another of the chemicals that actually melts the vinyl, and carefully used to smooth out the surface. Sounded risky to me though. If I manage to find it again I'll post the link.

The fact the DWC-01 is a relatively featurless sculpt in terms of any kind of sclulpted cheeks etc I think will make modding the eyes like that much more likely to work well since there's less chance of ending up witb gaps at the top where you've enlarged the eye holes.

Haha, I wasn't sure if that bit would come through. Hate is a bit strong but I don't really care for it much.

Other pictures there too; I just picked one. I think that might be your best chance for success; flatten the top of the eye openings but leave at least a little curvature at the corners like done there. At least it's something to consider.

I was thinking Sailor Mars would make a great Bakarina, myself; Anastasia from IM@S would probably also work. Non-limited-wise, probably DD09. That said, I need to make more progress on a couple other dolly projects (namely getting my 01-head dragon girl Asphodel her own MDD body, figuring out how to make her a magnetic dragon tail, then potentially getting an airbrush and ANOTHER MDD or similar sized body, and airbrushing both the body and another modded 01 head tan), before I can even feasibly consider doing Bakarina. By that point there's honestly a possibility that Volks will just outright beat me to it, lol. 

 

As for Beatrice, I'd personally go with an 01 head, and mod it: sand off the thick eyelids and the mouth, then very carefully sand the eye holes just a bit wider--rounder at the bottom inside, primarily. Be sure to check how the actual eyeballs look as you go. Then you can exaggerate the look with the faceup. 

 

Honestly I'm much more curious how you intend to do Beatrice's wig. . . and maybe also how you want to do Bakarina's.

In my opinion Iori looks very much like her (Iori the doll, not the character herself so much). Mars or Anastasia seem too mature to me.

Iori would be great for the 8-year-old Bakarina; I was thinking Mars more for the 15-year-old post-time-skip version of Bakarina.  Considering what a stark time skip that is, in retrospect I should have specified! Whoops.

That's what I meant. I've been unable to watch the show, and have just seen clips and only with her as a young girl; I didn't even know there is another version.

(Can't watch because Crunchyroll's video player has been broken for me for a year or more now. 😕)

Personally think Kagamine Rin default eyes would work better to get that slight turquise tone, but threw that together while doing some arrangeing of stuff.

The thing with Katarina is that she needs a bit of a nasty/mean side to her, since by lore she has a "Villain face", despite being all smiles and and such in general, but, consideirng how she looks first thing in the opening animation...

Yeah idk what head either... Beatrice’s wig will require a LOT of hairspray. I already did my Cotton’s hair like that but washed it out since I was only testing. But it’s still curlier than it was before. She’s the MDD on the left:

Yeah I finally decided on a head for Beatrice. I was able to pick up a DWC-01 sculpt.  Hope it works out and I don’t ruin it. Head with shipping was like $75. Haha. 

Tokyo Mew Mew: Mew Mew Ichigo, Mew Mew Mint, Mew Mew Lettuce, Mew Mew Pudding, and Mew Mew Zakuro especially.
