Characters you would like to see as Dollfie Dreams

It's a great anime and good for anyone who is missing Frieren 😪. Holo's wheat bag would be a cute touch.

I was going to suggest that if Volks have a huge stockpile of unsold Ciels then they could turn her into Nana from Elfen Lied. Their outfits are almost identical. The anime was quite good but probably the only thing people remember is the iconic music. I've just realised there is much, much, much more to the story in the manga. Well I'm hoping for a doll because the figures from the show are grails and go for astronomical prices.

Blue Archive's quite a good anime and the neat thing is that all the main characters have completely different outfits.

I would love an A2 to go along with VOLKS' previous NieR release! Some other popular androids would be nice to see as well.

I don't know much about NieR but I was watching some of the game's videos last night. The fairground scene/music is epic.

But not as epic as Elfen Lied. The manga gets ever crazier. It's mad to think that one guy wrote the story and did the artwork. It's very much a magnus opus.

Also I don't know if DDS Frieren will be a one off but there are so many characters they could choose from that series.

I've never seen or read Elfen Lied. I didn't realize it was done by only one person though, that's cool! I recently played both NieR games and loved them! Definitely give them a go if you're a gamer. You will love the soundtracks for both if nothing else!

More from the Frieren universe would be very cool! Though I'm not sure who they would choose...there's a lot of favorite characters but it's so new it's hard to tell who they'd go with if they did.

  Shuichi from Gravitation would be adorable, and his concert outfit would look amazing! But Gravitation hasn't really withstood the test of time, so I would be extremely surprised to see a doll of him. Thrilled, but surprised.

   I'd also really like them to make both versions of Ranma from Ranma 1/2. You could pick your favorite one or get both! 

   The Goddesses from Oh My Goddess would be stunning! I know there was an SD of Belldandy released some time ago, but it would be wonderful to have her and the others in DD form!

Did someone say Shindou Shuichi from Gravitation?  If it helps, I have a resin version I created of him.

It was actually Gravitation that first got me into Dolls, more specifically BJDs.   I have a few of their characters besides Shuichi.  Tatsuha, Yuki (both are custom heads, but only Tatsuha has a body,) Tohma, Noriko and of course my screen name's original, Sakuma Ryuichi.  Ryuichi I actually have at three different ages, 5 years old, 16 years old and 36 years old.  I aged everyone up so that Tatsuha was of legal age, he's college age now.

I have seen a Belldandy on DOA as a resin doll, she's beautiful!  And, I found a Belldandy BJD box opening, but I have yet to watch it.   I think I will now!

I would like to see someone from Project Sekai get picked for a DD Not sure if this has been written here yet, tried to check but there are so many pages. I'm more of a Vocaloid/Project Diva fan, but the popularity of those things seems to be moving considerably towards Sekai at the moment (for a multitude of reasons). Was thinking once they did those Empty Sekai Miku and Lonely Sekai Rin outfits, they might announce a DD for one of the non-vocaloid game characters. They seem popular enough to warrant one by this point IMO. Preferably I would like to see Nene or Emu, if I had to pick specific characters though! They are very cute.

This is probably extremely unlikely, but I would love to see Ayu Tsukimiya and Nagisa Furukawa as DDs. This year is the 25th anniversary of Kanon and the 20th anniversary of CLANNAD so I think it would be a really cool way to celebrate that.

I would also love more Fate/Grand Order exclusive characters, especially Caster Artoria and Oberon (preferably his second ascension).

Hey, I didn't expect to find another Gravitation fan on here, much less someone who also has a Gravitation inspired username! Your Shuichi is so cute, and I love him in the schoolgirl outfit! I definitely cosplayed as schoolgirl Shuichi many moons ago 😛.

    I've ben tempted to make my own Shuichi eventually. I've got a blank Pullip Isul lying around, and you're inspiring me to take the plunge!

  I watched part of the Belldandy unboxing video; she's really pretty. I hope they re-lease a version of her and her siblings one day.

I would love to see more Persona dolls! Makoto, Kasumi, Futaba would all be cute.

I'm sure this has been said already, but literally any male character lol 🥲.  Anything that will make male bodies more prevalent on the market without having to opt for aftermarket parts. Or even just asexual bodies that aren't locked behind an expensive custom ordering process - just put it in the shop with the others!

I know they're aiming at different hobbyists between lines, but I wish Volks would produce more boy vinyl with the same interest that they produce boy resin.  I'm glad other makers are producing a variety of bodies more readily, but since Volks is such a huge name in the game it would be really awesome to have more available!

I'm surprised that we haven't seen MDD Sakura Kinomoto and Tomoyo Daidouji yet. They would be perfect.

Probably MDD Minky Momo as well, alongside a DD version of her grown-up form.

I just started playing Reverse 1999 and I feel like Voyager would not only make an extremely cute doll, but would also be relatively easy to make look accurate to the character due to her simple outfit. Her violin would also make for a good prop and she already has an easy choice for a 2nd outfit to sell separately (although that one would be harder to achieve irl I think lol).

Also the new Kasane Teto SynthV design would look so good next to the Vocaloid dolls! (although those curls would be so difficult to achieve, I feel like they would have to be rock solid in gel to maintain the design...)

Now that there's been a new Magic Knight Rayearth anime announced, I can see it being possible that we might get one of the three main girls (probably Hikaru)! Especially since it's somewhat of a legacy magical girl show, and nostalgia is currently popular. If it happens, I think the doll would look great on DDS (like Sailor Moon) but I don't think DD would look bad either, given Clamp's leggy proportions. 

After seeing the other Square Enix collab dolls (Nier, FFXIV) with their gorgeous "semi-real" sculpts,  I really, really want Aerith from FFVII! And if I were to dream even bigger, Cloud too. Though I'm sure Tifa would be a fan favorite (and much more likely to get made than Cloud).

I have come to love semi-real style sculpts, but there are so few of them. Of course, I do think that anime style (which I am also a fan of) should remain Volks' focus for their vinyl line, but the vinyl semi-real sculpts just hit that aesthetic sweet spot for me between SD and DD and I would love to see more.

YES!! This was my first thought too! Since they did Sailor Moon, Lina, and Utena on their anniversaries, I’m really hoping they make all three girls for this one. Rayearth was one of my favorites growing up and I would love them as DD/DDS. Umi is my favorite so I’m really hoping they do all three.

 

Other than them, I’m still hoping for them to make the rest of the Sailor Moon girls. The Outer Senshi were my favorites and I’m sad they never made them. Also hoping for Loid Forger once Anya ships. 
 

For series they’ve not made, I’d love Danganronpa dolls but doubt that will ever happen. I have a custom Kyoko though at least.

Seeing all these comments about various CLAMP characters and just... yes please. I ALSO would love to see Sakura from CCS or the Rayearth Girls (or even a newly updated Chii? Though Chobits isn't all that popular anymore I don't think? lol Man that one is a nostalgia trip.)

But then, CLAMP is a huge weakness of mine so hardly surprising that that would be where I'd want all sorts of dolls from /wheeze

Now that the Fate/EXTRA remake has been announced for next year, I'm really hoping we'll get a DD of Tamamo no Mae (Caster). She's long overdue for one!

echoing others i'd love to see some clamp characters as dollfie dreams! xxxholic's yuko or syaoran and sakura (with tsubasa outfits as an outfit set). i think with reboots and anniversaries this year it would be cool to see a shugo chara dds to tie into the manga sequel, the main lucky star girls for the 20th anniversary, or nana and hatchi since they finally are starting to get figures!

Shugo Chara just made my brain latch onto the idea of Rozen Maiden dolls. I know Super Dollfie have made dolls of them, but I'd love to see some dolls matching the art style of the series more.

Just for fun, I think it would also be kinda fun for there to be Ace Attorney dolls? Maya or Athena I feel like would be a big hit.

Ugh I hear you. I think I'd be willing to go broke for Yuuko or even Fai. Doubly so if they came with Mokona.

I've always loved their series. I even used a Sakura & Syaoran figure for a cake topper at my wedding. Who wants a generic bride & groom on an overpriced cake anyway? 

Final Fantasy Characters that aren't from XIV would be great... especially Cloud and Sephiroth!

I'd love to see Kiriko from Overwatch but that's wishful thinking, I don't think they'd ever collab sadly but I am on the hunt for a good sculpt I can use as a base to custom make her myself. 

 

I don't know if it's a thing ( im fairly new to Dollfie etc) but a Princess Mononoke one would also be amazing imo

While I don't think it would ever happen I know I'd absolutely loose it if they ever came out with pokemon inspired Dollfie Dream. Whether it be gijinka designs, based of characters from the anime or even project voltage (the miku pokemon collab).

I don't own any DDs yet but that would change really quickly if they were ever to come out with any of these. (So hopefully they don't for the sake of my bank account /lh)

Oh man, if Volks ever came out with either one of the Pokemon trainers (Ash, Misty or Brock please!)  or Card Captor Sakura, that would be IT!  I would sell a kidney (jk) to get them!
