Custom DD rise!

OMG

after waiting about 2-3 months.. she arrived... *fangirl scream*

I took a few photos of her.. Only a few like always, because I'm bad at taking photos.. it's just so hard to find a good focus, had to retake countless time.. I almost want to just sell her. I simply couldn't take her charm with my camera.. which is so sad, I see other can have good pictures of her, while in my hands, she isn't so photogenic at first.. at least I managed to have this shots.. miracle.

 

(This one is put in front of the back of a big poster.. much cheap background eh.)

 

 

(These two are even worse, I put it in front of a screen much cheat )

 

She is gorgeous! I love the faceup on her, it's very light and feminine and so Rise ^_^

 

Your cheat backgrounds are brilliant! I couldn't tell and they turned out great ^_^

I did consider it! I love her irl but, I felt very stressed when I can't get good photos of them easily.. out of frustration, i thought about it.

but after a serious thought, i don't think i'll ever sell her . I might regret it 1000 years

Hey! I love your 'rise' too hehe looks really like persona4 drawing comes alive~ somewhat I can't get the default faceup to be photogenic (i have terrible time taking good photos of her, so i had her repainted).

I think she is really pretty!

She's beautiful and your photos are great! Don't be discouraged, taking photos is much harder than it looks. The photos I take are usually the result of a lot of iterative shots until I can get something I like, and I've learned a lot over time and I'm still getting better. I've been doing photography for a very long time but studio photography of dolls is like something entirely new, and it can take me an hour to get a single decent photo as I try stuff out.

 

A couple times I've just given up and ended up composing a completely different photo in frustration, and ended up with something nice. And I've done more shoots and ended up with nothing at all (｡-_-｡)

 

Edit: Actually, another example is this photo I took for the TTYA vendor feedback thread. That took me over an hour of post processing trying different methods to get the shadows and colour cast correction right, nevermind how much time I spent taking the original photo (after a bunch of takes, I found that an 8 second exposure worked best). All I wanted was to have an acceptable photo of Yaya's jeans (－‸ლ) I put Sakuya in there to make the photo more interesting, but she ended up being short-changed with an awkward pose... she looked good from another angle, but that wasn't the angle that the camera was looking at >_<

 

Your photos are WAY better than mine, be proud of them! The effort is worth it

She's gorgeous! I love the eye and wig choice you have for her, it makes her so different from others and it makes her look super perky and fun.

 

And your photos are EXCELLENT! How you can say they aren't good is beyond me, I'd kill to be able to get photos like these of my girls. The easy backgrounds look wonderful and are great ideas. Who cares what you use for one if they look so nice? It isn't about what you use to get good pics, its the end product that makes it.

Yes I know that too haha taking photos took me hours, that's why I felt a little frustrated.. Sometimes even after hours I can't get any good ones. It's just so hard to do the manual focus right!! It's like if her right eyes are sharp, the other eye is blurred LOL. *need to learn more*

Awww thank you so much! Made my day just that I was really tired to keep taking picture and changing the settings for hour to manage a few shots.. But I guess it's part of a learning and can't be discouraged by that
