Miu's Transformation and Photoshoot Pictures! <3

(I apologize in advance for phone quality pictures; It is all I have as of right now to taken pictures with and I just wanted to share my first photo moments with Miu~ ^^)

Haha, just being funny there. I know I haven't been taking basically any photos of my gals so far, especially after a long while since I've gotten them, especially Miu, so here is her own little photo forum post to show what's been going on~ (I haven't taken many photos of Liz do to the fact that she has no face-up, or even a body yet. I think that's a good enough excuse for now haha)

Wow, she underwent a huge transformation! The Mandarake pictures were scary, how could someone do that to Miu. I really like how she turned out in the end. I love the full lashes, and the white is a nice effect!

Yeah, I felt terrible for her when I saw her head like that but I wanted to take the chance of saving her~ Her head is pretty stained but not enough to really bother me. I waited forever for her face-up work to be done and sent back so, I just didn't care about the stains and I still don't. Her face may be darker than her body by a little bit because of blush-staining (I assume) but I couldn't love her more~ :3

I'm glad you also like how Miu turned out. My boyfriend seems to be real fond of her too. One of his favorite sculpts so far, if I remember correctly. He isn't a collector though, he just supports what decisions I make in the hobby and whatnot but he is intrigued by them somewhat. :3

And you mean the white, as in the blanket? 🙂 It might not also be the white but because my ceiling light is directly above the blanket as well. ^^

I look forward to her being finished too. But her wardrobe may never be finished, most likely hehe. I'll probably just end up buying her lots of outfits along with other outfits for the rest of my gals~ ^^

My boyfriend is actually wanting to get one, one day. However, I don't trust that he'd be gentle enough while dressing them. I trust him with the posing just not the dressing department. At least…not yet. I did find out today that his favorite is now Custom Akiras from pictures I've shown him of Custom Akiras I've seen on flickr. I started to also like Akira having a custom face-up. But her default one….for me personally, looks annoying, too pouty (not my taste), and waaaaaaay too cat-like for what I enjoy. XD But when we saw these pictures (he seemed to really enjoy it and I thought she looked waaaaay better):

 

 

But my fourth doll is still a mystery and it'll be a long time before I will get her. x3

Ahhh! That's one big change from how she started off. Congrats on giving Miu the new face up she deserved! She looks sooo much better and happier than before. And I love the style of those lashes she has, I don't think I've ever seen shaded ones like that. Very different from the norm but also very cool looking.

Thank you~! I'm so glad I could give her what she needed and deserved. She's such a sweetie. ^^

If I ever have to get down to only one DD, she'll always be with me, hands down. But I'm planning on just having a total of 4 to 6 DDs for a long while since I don't know if I could support more than that financially. : P

The reference photo of the lashes I gave the face-up artist was this photo (I uploaded it to Tinypic since I couldn't find the original on google search): ---

Like you see in the first face-up project picture, she had made the eyelashes too small so when she enlarged them, she put the white in which I thought was a nice touch. 🙂

I'm glad you've also enjoyed the different eyelash look. The artist didn't really like how big they were but, for me, I really wanted it to be like that and I think it came out awesomely despite the forever head stains that Miu will have. :3

Congratulations on finally getting Miu done up the way you wanted her to be As for how she looked on Mandarake to me it just looks like someone who wanted to try their hand at doing a face-up and ended up getting in over their head. At least there was no damage and the staining is tolerable for you Plus in the end because this person decided they couldn't do what they wanted you ended up getting your lovely girl

 

Jessica (Sorenka) did such a great job in bringing her to life! I like how big the eyelashes are along with the added white which really makes her face pop I won a free face-up from her so in the future I'll definitely be sending her a girl to face-up for me

There is just a tad of damage actually. It's mainly the headcap though (which isn't pictured since I can't make up my mind about the eyes and don't want to struggle with getting the headcap off to change her eyes haha) that was botched but I could care less about it since it makes it go off and on easier. And thank goodness for that! 🙂(But I might cut more of it though since the ridges aren't good enough in my opinion haha)

And I'm glad you won a free face-up from Jessica! Make sure you use a really good box to send the head in because mine was tore up from Indonesian customs and she sent it back that way while only having it inside a bag to hold it.

It worried me half to death because I thought Miu could have fallen out while also getting pretty damaged. I'm glad Miu was fortunate for that to not happen to her. It's just a fair warning. Indonesian customs suck. Make sure to use EMS shipping because it took forever for Miu to get to her when I sent her regular international mail since I couldn't afford $80 for shipping (prices were like that because my Post Office sucks with shipping costs and I put a lot of bubble wrap in the box haha~).

I'm so glad I have Miu though~ and you're right, at least the previous owner gave her up and I now have my favorite DD so far~ Liz might turn it around and might be equally as popular in my heart as Miu but we shall see. ^^ Sophie's still a newb to the DD family so I don't know how I'm going to bond with her just yet. I'm really hoping I can get back on track and get a job because if I can get a custom face-up for her as well, I might bond with her better, at least, that's my opinion on that matter ^^"~

I'm real happy that people can enjoy seeing her as much as I do.

I also hope I can take more pictures of Miu when I finally get a better camera but that will be a lil bit from now. But when I do, I'll make sure to take better quality pictures for you all! ^^

Woah, I've never seen eyelashes like that on a DD(looking at the comments, I'm not the only one XD). It makes her faceup look full and glamorous.

I really wanted the eyelashes to pop (instead of being hardly there like a lot of default face-ups I see out there haha~)! : D

Like I've stated before, the artist didn't want to do it but, it was my choice and I took it.

I'm glad everyone has taken it as a positive just like I have. ^^

And I have her wig already. I just wanted to make sure I wanna keep the eyes she has in and to have a wig cap on plus a tenshi-no-hairbrush to comb it with before I put it on her. :3 It is a Miruya wig in the color peach pink~ in real life, it can be more described as a sandy light bubblegum pink. ^^" It is Wig #116. The curly twin tails can come off while the front can stay. It looks like this on Sasara:

And that is what Miu will end up wearing~

I like the simple/casual, yet cutesy look it has and it would fit Miu greatly, at least, in my own opinion. ^w^

So that's the wig I have planned.
