where can you find male dollfies?

I was thinking about getting a male dollfie but like.....I have no idea which companies make good ones besides volks. I wasthinking of buying it along with the Dollfie Dream that I wanted to get. There don't seem to be many male Dollfies though sadly xDD

So when you say 'Dollfie' you mean a larger, male BJD? (Ball Jointed Doll) I make this distinction because Dollfie equals specifically a Volks product. Although many people out there do call a variety BJDs "dollfies" casually, only Volks makes a product that is sold as "Dollfie".

 

I'm making a point out of this not to be a jerkface but because it will be easier to answer your question if you are searching for any doll that would be compatible for your DD, made by any company or you specifically want a male Volks doll since you were thinking of ordering both at the same time?

 

The answer for the Volks option for a DD is, sadly, none. They make no male DDs at this time. The equivalent you could get (or the closest) would be a Volks SD13 or and SD16 boy. The SD13s are available at the following link and should be the correct height for your new DD- though you should check to be sure!

Have heart! If you don't like the selection then there are TONS of companies that make awesome male dolls. Since I am almost going OT and this forum is DDs only here is a list of dolls making companies I found with some decent descriptions of their products:

I know I was surfing the Volks site one night and found a male dollfie that looked very good i think it was one named Hijikata Toshizo...do you have any idea how tall he is? form the picture I think he might be shorter than a Dollfie Dream. (but he's still hot though xDD)

Dollfie Dreams are generally 60cm or shorter so...

 

23.62 inches = 60cm

 

He would be taller but buying from Volks, whether DD or SD, is not always that simple. Volks does doll releases in limited runs and they are sold by lottery. You either have to win in the doll lottery or buy the doll on the second hand market after the fact. It can become very complicated and very expensive.... HOWEVER if you love a doll then there's no reason for you not to acquire it. You just have to shop for the best deal and do all your research. *^^*

 

Suzuna has a really good point that could save you a couple thousand dollars so I would look into her suggestion on DoA or another forum that has more information on other varieties of BJDs and isn't DD specific- not because we aren't happy to help but because there is a wealth of information about other, wonderful, NonDD BJDs on those sites. ^^

However,the 60cm obitsu male body should be fine with the DDs. the DDII body and DDdy body are both only 57cm tall. a 3cm difference isn't a huge gap, but typically a 2cm-4cm gap is considered fair ratio fr male-female dolls, but agreed, an SQ lab male head on one would be amazing. In act, I though about getting a Keiko head and making it into a male character anyway. It wouldn't be the first time someone's taken a female head and put it on a male body.

Are you sure you'd want a 65cm boy for a DD?

 

My friend cam eover who has a 65cm resin boy, so I took a height comparison shot with him and Ichiko ( DDII body) and he's huge!

 

I am really short. I can identify with that height difference.

Being 5'1", I can also identify with it, but I worry for things photography-wise it may present a bit of a challenge.

I am 5' tall. I like Az's height compared to Ichiko. I think that is a good pairing as far as height goes. Ichiko might think there are other problems with being around Az.

Az is 63cm tall, so not a bad size in comparison. I just try to imagine girls with a 65cm boy or even a 70cm boy and getting on their tiptoes for a kiss and still being unable. Poor girls. XD It would make for some cute photos though.

Hmm the 65 cm guy is okay. xDD I guess.... I'm about 5'4'' and most guys tower over me xDD

I can also chip in on the height issue! I'm very short and my boyfriend alos towers over me. But anyways, I think those dolls look very cute together.

Ichiko's a rather shy girl as I've found out. When Adrian ( the 65cm Iplehouse Lee) came over her reaction was something along the lines of " oooooh.. s-s-so tall!" XD I don't have the heart to introduce her to Ryuuki, my 90cm boy.
