Help me price to sell? (48cm Obitsu)

I'm debating whether I want to reshell my Obitsu girl Rina's character in to a DDS with an 06 head, but I would need to sell her current form. I have no idea what to price her at, though. Or where to sell her for that matter. I considered Dollieh Sanctuary's MP but they seem to be a little quiet these days and if I do decide to sell I'd like a quick turnover.

 

Pertinent information:

I am her first owner, and she was my first doll

Her joints are still tight

She has very very light pink stains on her right arm, they're indistinguishable from the rest of her in normal light. Overall I would describe her as "dirty". She was a shelf baby so it's nothing a little bath wont fix.

Her vinyl parts have mellowed, leaving her vinyl slightly yellower than her joints, again unnoticeable in regular lighting conditions.

She still has her standard Misuzu head, with an amateur faceup. I don't have the equipment to clean the faceup off, but I think it's pretty cute, myself.

I would be including an 18mm pair of green Obitsu eyes, a pink Angel Studio wig that needs a little TLC, 3 Alice's Collections outifts, two pairs of AC shoes, a pair of AC glasses, a hand sewn pair of panties, and her original box. There may be other things I've forgotten but I believe that's everything.

 

Is there anything else I should include? What information would others want to know about her? And most importantly, given what she would include, how should I price her?

I believe I sold my Ob Misuzu head girl for like $300 I think. she was wigless but came with a outfit.

 

what I normally do is take the items apart.

 

head and body are 20,000 yen new so about $185ish. yours with slight damage may make it $150-175 depending on how bad.

 

then the items best to look at how much they were and then add that to it with maybe a slight "second hand" price.

If you're looking to sell fast you might look to ebay just for the shear volume of traffic. Add a couple of key words: Azone, Angel Philia, VMF50, to increase the search hits. And you can still list her on DoA and say in your ebay description that she's subject to prior sale.

Do you still have the metal plate?

If you do have some sentimentality over her, you can always keep her head so you can re-body her at a later date. A brand new replacement head is only about $20 to $25 so you won't take a big hit for not including it, especially with all the extras you've listed.

Ahhh I didn't realize the new price had gone down, that's a bit disappointing. I bought mine a couple of years ago, when the going price was still $265. That's good advice though, thank you!

I thought that the 50cm range of girls was off topic on DoA, that's good information to have. I actually do still have the metal plate! I forgot about it because I don't use it. I might consider keeping her head, but mainly I want to reshell her in to something that can share clothes with my DD, since as is they mostly wear different sizes. It's the sentimentality that's holding me back, haha. When I went to take her off the shelf to see what kind of staining she might have had I remembered how cute she was and almost considered not posting this topic at all!

If money's not an issue and you like the Obitsu 48 body, it might be good to hold on to for future dolls. Maybe you can put a future DD head on it and have a petite girl without having to buy a new body for that head. That's what I'd do anyway!

The actual price in yen has remained about the same. It's the currency exchange rate that has changed dramatically. Several years ago when you bought your girl the exchange rate for Japanese yen was in the low 80's (84yen= $1.00). Now it's about 105yen to the dollar (105yen= $1.00). So several years ago prices for a lot of Japanese goods were higher than they are now because the dollar bought less.

 

I thought that the 50cm range of girls was off topic on DoA, that's good information to have.

Obitsus and dolls based on the Obitsu body (Parabox, some Azones, Yamato VMF50, Visuadolls, Angel Philia, etc.) are grandfathered in at DoA like Dollfie Dreams. Come join the party!
