baldylox Posted October 8, 2014 This is my favorite time of year because not only does it finally start to get cooler around here, my favorite flowers begin to bloom in front of my house. Down here in SC, we've always called them Hurricane Lilies because they bloom at the height of the hurricane season. But since becoming an anime fan and also a fan of Japan and it's culture, I've found these are also called spider lilies and have a big place in anime and Japan. My dad gave me a bunch of the bulbs to plant and every year they come back with beautiful blooms for me and my girls to enjoy. And this year I decided that it was Mai's turn to go out and get photos with them. Please enjoy! Here's Mai all excited and ready to go. Turns out there are white ones too! I wish I had some of those... but red works just fine too. They really do look good on everyone. Mai was my first ever DD and I agree she is under appreciated. Later on even I had trouble really bonding with her and had to re-home her. I had no clue til I saw them at the Imperial Residence in Tokyo. I had to do a double take when I saw them. I need to see if they sell them here stateside so I can add some to the garden. And are those Saber Extra's alternate eyes? They really do look good on everyone. Yes indeed! I had been having issues finding just the right look for Mai until these showed up. I'd tried green eyes in her before but they didn't look nearly as nice as these do. Now she owns these for sure. Mai was my first ever DD and I agree she is under appreciated. Later on even I had trouble really bonding with her and had to re-home her. I'm glad to hear that you liked her enuff to be able to appreciate her good looks. I'm sorry things didn't work out for you and her tho. But it happens sometimes, at least you gave her the chance to go do her thing elsewhere where she might be able to bond better with a new owner. It's a Leeke World wig, not sure of the color tho. I originally bought it for my Yoko to wear but once I adopted Mai, she kind of stole it.
