Hi from Sydney, Australia =^-^= Having started my doll-hobby related journey via 1/6 scale abs plastic & vinyl dolls (Pullip, Blythe, Obitsu & Volks 1/6 scale) and more recently come from the resin BJD hobby myself (since 2009) I have made the decision to leave resin behind (as far as humanoid dolls go - could never give up my anthros & pet dolls, especially when it comes to Dearmine & Aileendoll ) in favor of vinyl again and finally get around to buying my 1st DDdy girl I've been dreaming of for years. I have my money aside ready for the next possible re-stock of DDdy Miko and plan to buy a couple of extra blank heads with her to work on. The DDdy body poses a wonderful challenge to sew for that I can see as being a lot of fun to work on.

I have a purely noob question here with regards to DD head releases, I would love to buy a DDH-09 head but see that there is no listing for them via the Volks store. Were they only a limited release, or has Volks yet to list any blank DDH-09 heads up for sale as of yet? I was really hoping a DDH-09 would he one of the 2 heads I would look at buying with my Miko, but if one isn't possible then I'll more than happily settle for both DDH-07 & DDH-08 for the time being until such time as I can pick up a DDH-09 in one form or another (ie. whether just the head itself or via a future DD release).

If I was to have one hope for a future DD release at this point, with her return in the new Fate / Stay Night - Unlimited Blade Works anime that came out just this week I hope we might possibly see another new Saber character collaboration model. I just recently came across a Taobao seller offering the most gorgeous light-up stand for doll photos which features Saber's summoning mandala and started thinking about how much I wished I'd been able to pick up any of the past Saber releases, but I guess there is always hope for more

Hi katzilla, Welcome to DollfieDreams! I have dual interests in Resin & DDs, and I was also interested in the DDH-08 & DDH-09 heads. I had bought some custom face-up (including eyes) DDH-06 & DDH-07 heads from an Ebay seller based in Hong Kong. I contacted her about the possibility of doing a DDH-09 head; and she was able to accommodate me. In the meantime, she auctioned a DDH-08 head which I also snagged. Currently she doesn't have any heads for sale, but she has been fairly steady offering one or two DDH-07 or DDH-06 heads every few weeks, so you might want to try her. Here's the link for the DDH-08 head I got from her, but understand each one is going to be different, she's not an assembly line.

She had to go through some effort to acquire the -08 & -09 heads. Volks seemed to indicate they were limited, so I don't know if she can still get any to help you. ... but you never know 'till you try. Good luck with your Miko project!

Thanks, N2DollsNow! I saw another seller with some gorgeous customs up this morning on Ebay and found a couple of DDH-07 & 8 blank heads too. I also found a few DD buying services up on Taobao but with Taobao I'm always just that little bit dubious as to whether it is a genuine buying service or, if as tends to be the issue with many bjd and figure sellers on Taobao, is there an issue as to whether it's a genuine Volks head or a fake. There are a couple of sellers with good feedback there, though, that have me very curious.

Excitedly, I now have my first DD, DDdy Miko on hold thanks to the wonderful moment on DOA After a big splurge on art supplies recently I couldn't pay her off in one hit but will be paying off her remainder next pay-day

Thank you ^^ Pay day couldn't come soon enough.... I get paid every 1/2 month (as opposed to fortnight) which can be frustrating as the pay dates always vary each month but I'd love to be able to see my lovely girl home before Halloween if possible. Fingers crossed.
