Dollfie Dream Ranka and Sheryl announced!

So I have another newbie question for those who have done pre-order before.

 

Do all those who paid in full get their dolls first and then those who down paid have to wait until all the pay in full orders have been shipped?

 

That's what seems like is happening with Miku.

 

With Miku, it's not based on whether your paid in full or not, it's based entirely on whether you were a Volks International Order or a VolksUSA order, and then how early in the pre-order period you ordered. I assume Sheryl & Ranka will work similarly -- so most important would be to order early.

Sheryl really tempts me, but I'm not interested in any of her outfits as I would be turning her in to another character anyway. Kind of bothers me to pay for a full girl, just to get items I don't want with it. >.

Yep, Miku was the last one you could do that way.

 

Raven and I have done the last two preorders through Volks Int. and have had no problems. Sure it requires you to sit on the money until they send the payment email in autumn, but for us, that's what actually makes it possible to get the preorder girls. I can understand how that can be frustrating for some people, but I find it less expensive than paying aftermarket prices for girls I already know I want.

We totally agree. It's how we ended up with Kos-Mos, and I have to say, it was easier to save up the extra cash over almost a year as opposed to coming up with it super fast.

Sheryl & Ranka turned out looking really nice and just like the characters they are modeled after. The only thing I would have changed is their eyes~ My favorite of the two is definitely Ranka because she is such a cutie! But I won't be getting either of these girls as I have other plans for next year I really want both of Ranka's alternate outfits & Sheryl's date outfit. Getting all 3 outfits depends on what sort of payment plan Volks International will be offering. Otherwise I might have to pick & choose which ones to purchase~

Her mouth is definitely nicer here. Her expression looks playful. I'm hoping all those early pics where she looks a bit dazed are just Volks photography.

Even after being in the hobby a few years, I'm still often surprised at the fact that Volks' photos aren't that great compared to owner pics. I think I'm a bit biased, but I often feel that the owner pics seem to capture the essence of who the girls are, while Volks' always seem to come across as "look at this pretty thing I can pose!"

 

Even so, the more pics I see of Sheryl's sculpt, the more convinced I am that it will be perfect for what I want to use it for. The next problem is, how am I going to fit 4 more girls in my sig?? Daisy and Miku are already waiting...

I wasn't expecting anything new posted on Volks tweeter, so what a great surprise to see a new picture of Sheryl.

 

This recent picture of her, shows that her eyes are what gives her that separation between the eye and eyelash. That's great. Now when her eyes get changed, she won't have that space.

Technically it is any time up through the Winter Solstice, which occurs at the end of December.

 

You can expect a Nov/Dec release most likely, depending on how many orders come in. (KOSMOS, Miku, have all been like this).

Just what I was waiting for~ I'm so glad Ranka doesn't have a one piece body (or so it would appear). If I get the chance to get her, I'm switching her bust out for an M Bust. ^^" She'll make such a cute addition to my DD family. Can't wait for the pre-orders to open up!

Im so glad Sheryl will be coming in the one piece torso ! I love how that body looks in clothes, but I wasn't sold on Alisa's outfit/accessories or head.

 

Not much incentive to get Ranka now, I know a lot of people like the 2 piece torso, but it just doesn't interest me as much. Ill be keeping my eye out for the fullset outfit/wig/shoes lol.
