Dollfie Dream Ranka and Sheryl announced!

In the end after debating and debating I decided to not pre-order anything haha ^^;;; As much as I liked Ranka's outfits I guess since I wasn't getting Ranka I just didn't feel the absolute need to get them in the end. I suppose that saves me waiting on them, but I look forward to seeing pictures of what everyone else pre-ordered once it all arrives

Now the long long long wait begins

I regret know that I didn't preorder Sheryl.

I pre-ordered Sheryl very late on the last day which effectively locked me in - no canceling. So the last seven months (about) was able to get Alna through Lottery & now Sheryl through pre-order. For DD, I guess I could call these my unicorn scores. Fall 2015 should give us plenty of time to prepare for the home coming of these ladies. No crying when payment notifications begin arriving!

I regret know that I didn't preorder Sheryl. :'(

 

Just wait it out. People give up pre-orders. If not people will sell upon arrival because they don't like them or whatever, you'll have a chance for her. ^^

 

All I ordered were outfits....>.>;; I just couldn't say no to Sheyl's date outfit.

I searched Ranka up on Youtube today since I'm not familiar with Macross Frontier at all. I found this cute video of her and now…the wait for Ranka becomes harder. She's soooooo adorable and her voice is amazing~ (and I also found out she did the Nyan Nyan song; which I saw a video of that a long time ago and never knew that was her until now ^^")

Makes me curious to try the watch the anime but I have no idea how I'd get ahold of it to just try it out and not buy an entire season, etc. >w<

Now to wait for the long arrival of Ranka-chan~

Eh, that's not my cup of tea. Even if it is her voice. I don't like the style really. My apologies. I'm not a Vocaloid fan at all. >_< Buuut that is very interesting information about her~

Eh, I guess Ranka could count as a Vocaloid but it's really only the voice actor that counts not the actual Ranka Lee character. But, that's my opinion.

Heh, no problem. GUMI is a 'normal' Vocaloid unlike the Crypton ones (Miku, twins, Luka), in that GUMI actually sounds like Megumi Nakajima singing; the Crypton ones are designed to have certain sonic qualities, rather than to sound like their voice actresses. So basically anyone can use GUMI/Megumi to sing a song, whatever type of song they want Maybe

The Crypton ones sound artificial, but that makes them easier to use. For example, there are some songs that Megumi wouldn't naturally sing well, but Miku can... "sing" just about anything.

Yeah, but Gumi's design is actually inspired by Ranka. Quoting the wiki,

I'm pretty sure they're Volks outfits. The pink one on Ranka looks very familiar. Someone please back me up so I know I'm not crazy!

I didn't think they looked like their style, or not how I would dress them at least.

The outfits in the photo appear to be the Pink Swallowtail Maid set (original version, not the newer one with lacing instead of buttons on the front) followed by some Volks wedding gowns (not sure which exactly) and then on the other side of the standard Ranka/Sheryl is the Volks Guiding Sister dress from 2012. These might be the picks from Tenshi no Koromo for re-release, or could just be Volks teasing us with things we can't buy.

I have my Sheryl on Pre-Order with the additional outfits. Can't wait till they come in.

I ordered Ranka in the the preorder and seem to remember it saying that they will only ship to the address that was entered then. Problem is that I'm going to be moving to another state in a few months and I didn't know that I'd be moving when I made my order. Have any of you had any experience with having to change your mailing address with Volks while waiting for a preorder?. I can't do anything about it now though because we haven't even begun looking for a house in the new location yet.

Just contact Volks and tell them your situation and change delivery address to a close relative.

A little late, but the last couple pre-orders I was a part of, Volks let you change your shipping address once as long as it was within the same country.

Thanks redxmaverick and Ravendruid. I know I've still got some time before Volks starts shipping but I was beginning to worry.

Hopefully it won't cost an arm and a leg. If it isn't, I'll most likely be buying two of them.
