Dollfie Dream Ranka and Sheryl announced!

I'm having some problems with Sheryl's earring. I can only find the green stud. Is the rest (all the dangling bits) a separate piece packaged somewhere else, or did Volks only give me half an earring?

Volks just charged my CC for Sheryl (2nd batch), seems pretty early for a late Nov. shipping estimate xD hopefully an earlier shipping time, but knowing Volks ... probably not

After Canada Post messing up, they're finally here! Congrats to everyone getting these girls!

I'm having some problems with Sheryl's earring. I can only find the green stud. Is the rest (all the dangling bits) a separate piece packaged somewhere else, or did Volks only give me half an earring?

My earring dangle part was packaged with her paperwork in the bubble thing where her microphone is

I have been so thrilled to finally have my girls here and it was a lot of fun sharing it with my sister. Apparently she later talked with our mom and said she wants more DD, and her first one has yet to be introduced.

 

I've been wanting to get some photos done but the last few days I've had a head cold that's hit me like a ton of bricks. Raven was laughing at me yesterday as my speaking voice is getting really squeaky and keeps cutting out when I try and talk, so making a review video is seriously out of the question. If I wasn't so completely exhausted I'd try and get some photos done but my energy has been minimal at best. I'm still working on minor sewing projects, but only ones that can be done in bed. For a workaholic like me, that's some serious lack of energy.

 

As for the girls themselves, Ranka Gizella had her eyes swapped (defaults 'stare' too much in brighter lighting) and I forgot that she came with two wigs as well. My favorite one is with the braid, but her bangs are about half an inch longer than in her promo pics! So. that's annoying and needs to be trimmed. The clear green bracelet suits her style and color perfectly! I hadn't ever noticed it in the photos but it's her favorite color! As for her faceup, it couldn't be more perfect for her. I am so happy with it! Her only complaint seems to be that I won't let her have Sheryl's 'jangily' bracelets even though she snagged Sheryl's microphone chain to use as a belt.

 

Sheryl has been a lot more difficult for me. She was no longer needed for my original idea (her head would be way too small anyway) and she wasn't going to work for my backup idea either (ordered an 04 head when I saw that Sheryl wasn't even remotely suitable, even with face lift jokes... ) So I can say that for the first time I had a head that I had no idea what to do with, and it really upset me. She reminds me of Kos-Mos as well as an 07 head, but I'm not really big on the more mature/realistic DD faces, Kos-Mos being the exception. So needless to say that Sheryl and I have gotten off to a pretty rocky start, something I'm seriously not used to with DD. Her sculpt is very, very pretty but her faceup is really throwing me off. I have such the urge to scrub it off right away but I'm trying very hard to wait until I have photos done. In the meantime I've had to really think about what I love about her as she is instead of if she would be suitable for a previously started project. She is now rapidly having a completely new personality that I would have never thought of otherwise. I'm hoping that she will be a suitable older sister for Nicholas, my unfinished Kos-Mos boy.

 

Dakota on the other hand has made out like a bandit with the clothes. No one but her would wear the vinyl underwear (with fake pockets?? WTF?) She would have been mad if they didn't stretch to fit her DDdy tush. I can't say it was easy or even recommended. "Y'all shouldn't tell me it ain't my size if it fits!" Barely Dakota... just barely... She also snagged Sheryl's default bodice that nearly didn't fit but it went perfectly with the red jacket that had no problems in the size department. Ranka's default skirt has also been claimed, Dakota said that no proper girl would wear a pleather skirt and Ranka's shoes were also confiscated. Dakota looks as smug as a fox after dining in the hen house. She did leave the ginormus bows for the other girls though...

 

I have so much love for Sheryl's wigs! They are exactly what I wanted for Dakota's sister, and really the final thing that made it possible to get her finished. The flat ver. bust wil be perfect for her too. I seriously hope that makes flat versions for all the busts!

Yeah, and it was turned kind of sideways so the silver part was most visible and really blended in with the bubble wrap. --; I went through the packaging for about 20 minutes, posted here about it, and found it immediately afterwards. Posting on the internet is my #1 method of finding lost items. I always find something as soon as I say I've lost it.

 

My Sheryl has really floppy joints, especially in the wrists and ankles.. Some of her limbs were rotated and her feet were completely splayed when she arrived. I'm not sure if her limbs moved because she's floppy, or if she's floppy because she shipped all messed up. I didn't bother putting Sheryl's pleather panties on. I might use them because they look suitable for when Sheryl wears Fire Bomber-inspired outfits. She also has slightly smudged lower liner, but not as bad as was posted earlier in the thread.

My Ranka's ankles are more loose than I'd like (makes her a bit more difficult to make her stand up without a stand) but both of my girls' feet swivel rather easily from left to right. Nothing really severe, but it does get annoying picking them up and having to reposition their feet often before putting them back down.

While we're all super-excited and trying to keep track of all the pieces... Would anyone with Sheryl already in their possession mind scanning her "dressing instructions" sheet for me? because I have no idea what I'm doin here.....

I haven't set up my scanner since moving, but here are some quick pictures:

There's glare on some of them, but it should still be easy enough to see what's going on. Unfortunately, the harder steps aren't included. Volks just skips right to Sheryl's hat being perfectly on when that thing's barettes are awful.

Not that I'll be using the decals, but what is the stuff they paint on after they've applied the decal? :/ thanks in advance.

The earring for my Sheryl is missing!

Is this a common occurrence? I know Talolili mentioned they were missing some items earlier too.

I think other posters missing an earring said they found them in the bubble wrap.

 

Certainly, it seems like Volks could pack the earrings better at least.

dunno, I found them being with the mic just fine? It certainly helped they weren't with the chains and bangles.. as then would have lost the earring immediately (or it would have gotten bent from all that other stuff)

I think they should have at least packed both pieces together. The dangly part was really hidden in the bubble wrap so I didn't find it until I realized it wasn't with the stud part of the earring and went over all the packaging and went over every inch of the floor in that room a few times.

Hello, I received my order: [ordernumber redacted] today.

 

There is an issue with my Dollfie Dream Sheryl Nome's faceup - it appears that the faceup paint was put down incorrectly causing two smudge places. Photos are included below of the paint job issue on both lower lashes.

 

Please let me know if this warrants a replacement head and the steps for returning - all other pieces of Dollfie Dream Sheryl Nome are fine, just the paint job on the face is defective and unacceptable for such a high end product.

It has nothing to do with that. The Person who wrote that reply told you its a personal Mail (that means an employee took the time to give you a proper reply.) The meaning of the sentence is that you're not going to disrespect that persons right by posting the reply online. (That should be normal it only concerns you and Volks and no one else. )

 

But thats just my opinion. ^^
