these are awesome photos. I love the last ones with Yuki and Candy, so cute!!!

Whoa! I love that they basically have my Miyuki as a DDS on that couch! That girl has the same head and wig as my Miyuki does, just a different color. Too cool!

 

I had to do a double take on some of these new pics! Yuki actually carrying Candy is so awesome! Piggyback rides! And the crouching positions look so natural.

 

Ye Gods, Volks knows how to make me want to give them my wallet to play with..... Looks like a DDS will be in my future as soon as they release the body.

That DDH-04 is totally like alternate color Miyuki! Maybe she is Miyuki's little sister.

 

I love the ideas they are coming up with for posing the DDS body to show its versatility. They came up with some really cute poses for Yuki. Sometimes Volks is quite good at marketing.

 

They are doing so much with the DDS body that I wonder if it will be released as standard soon. Or maybe there will be more DDS characters released at the next Hometown Dolpa. Will there be a Kyoto 8 this March or April?

According to Toel-uru on the DD Flickr Hometown Dolpla is the 13th of March, and Dolpla 25 is April 30! Found this in the "What's Next" thread on the DD Flickr. If I were a betting man, I'd gamble on DDS turning up at one or both. And DDdy Rider.

Tokyo Dolpa 25 in the last week of April instead of the first week of May. I wonder who they will release at both of them.

If a DDdy Rider was made, I'd have to seriously think about getting her! She would be so awesome to have! But I guarantee her default outfit would be a staining nightmare with all the black and dark purples. Lord would that suck if it had no linings.

Mostly instinct. Rider is the most likely F/SN character left. Yeah, her servent outfit would need to be lined for sure. Her casual wear is a pair of jeans and a black shirt, and her magic glasses. If you read the Riders Diary bit on the DVDs, you know who her real master is too. So there's that factor, too.

 

Not that Caster, or Hollow Ataraxia's Bazette or Karen are bad choices. Caster could be pretty cool, she's got those pointy Mr. Spock ears after all. Now the Kitsune Caster from Fate/Exta, she'd be a great DDS!

Rina is modeling the DDII base body, and Yuki is modeling the new DDS body.

 

 

Here Yuki shows the increased elbow joint flexibility. You can also see the height difference. Rina has a significantly larger bust compared to Yuki. Maybe this is to increase the little sisterly aspect of the DDS body.

 

 

 

Below this picture was the text in Japanese that translates to "It will be released summer after parts!" by Google Translate. It could mean that the body will be released this summer as a new standard base body.

DDS is looking really nice! "Summer after parts" = Summer after party? May have to change my plans...

Toshie-sensei says that the word is "parts." Also there is a phrase in parentheses that means that summer is a prediction. I guess the mystery parts only might be released this summer. It could be option parts for DDS which I think would be crazy if they haven't release the body yet.

Yeah, that does sound like it could be DDS option parts. I agree it'd be good to get the body as a standard release first, so hopefully it's not just new hand poses or something. Not that new hands are bad or anything. I was planning on two DDdy bodies, but if DDS hits this summer or so, I'd get one DDdy and one DDS. It's a pretty loose plan, since I may get swayed by one of the LE characters too...

I love the twin braids wig on the DDS. That's so cute!

 

Again, Volks hits me where it hurts and makes me want the DDS more. Hopefully whenever they get around to releasing it, I'll have the money to afford one. Just having gotten the hidden joints figured out on the DDII is giving me fits of joy for photographing my girls. An entirely new body with even better posability would *really* send me over the top.

Touhou Project Dollfie Dream Sisters will be shipping starting February 26th into the first week of March. We should start seeing photos of the girls taken by their parents around the beginning of March.

Well Volks is right on time for shipping of the DDS. I've just received email that my Marisa together with the short wig and accessories has been shipped. So now will have to wait for the forwarding service to forward it to me. So hopefully another week and I get to welcome my new addition.

I hope in something like a MDD body with DDS joints! Maybe Volks can fix the problem with MDD knee & feet joints with this!

Yeah I'm holding out buying any MDDs due to their problems. So we'll see if Volks can now do a good proper small sized doll. If they can do update MDDs to what I see in DDS, I'd most definitely get one.

The ironic thing is that they actually fixed the knees. Namiko has the brand new knees. Unfortunately the boxes aren't marked as "improved body" or "MDD v.2" or whatever. You have to luck into them. Then again, new MDD licensed dolls are probably going to have the new knees.

 

What I don't like is the fact that the skeleton is not continuous, but each piece fits into the other without locking together.

OMG WTF DDS!!! We now know that DDS has a continuous DDIF rather than what the MDD has!

I have to agree that the more info and pictures that get posted on the DDS, the more I am going to want one. They sure look like they are taking care of most issues found with the older frames. There may be other issues I am unaware of but it's looking very good from where I am.

 

Here's to hoping Volks makes the DDS body available by itself before the end of the year.

Yeah, I feel like the DDS is probably the ultimate DD body. I've loved it ever since I have seen it. You know the funny thing about the DD 'Shapely Bust' version I got not too long ago is that it is much more solid feeling and sturdy compared to (of course) the MDD but also the DD Type II I've had. I should probably go read more about the skeletal differences so I can talk intelligently about it, but it was immediately noticeable and I am hoping this is the rule not the exception for future DD iterations! Yay DDS!

Well I finally got my DDS Marisa today. Opened the box and quickly snapped a few shots. She's pretty sweet.

It's nice finally see some shots of Marisa that aren't from Volks! Congrats on getting her in. She looks great and has some really nice clothing and accessories. I love the sake set!
