I quite like the White Bunny Cardigan, might pick it up for myself. Haha.....

I wonder if the Cardigan with White Bunny Set is a re-release? I think I have the original... or is it different?

 

Kind of disappointed that's tell how the back of the Sweet Pink Party Dress tan part looks like from the photos.

 

think the only one I'm remotely interested in is Sapphire Blue Party Dress? I'm not even sure on that one though!

Nekopon: thats definitely a rerelease. Ive got the set worn by Creamy Mami infront of me The only difference is the necktie. Same shape, just in a different color.

 

Im safe from this month's release ! The only one I'm remotely interested in is the Sapphire Blue Party dress - I just wish it was shorter like knee or thigh length. I love the gloves that come with the pink party dress though - I love that the gloves are now separate fingers rather than looking like an oven mitt.

Overly disappointed not interested in any of them except maybe the cardigan with white bunny set, it's an exact re-release but it's very black which is why I sold it on last time.... Very unsure....

Tbh the TnK dresses for this release are ugly as sin. (Minus the Sapphire Dress)

 

The only thing that I'm avoiding getting the Sapphire Dress is because it's too dressy. It would be nice if you had a DD Holiday/New Years Party though...

I find this round of releases very disappointing. I like the bunny cardigan set, but that's about it. Everything else is kinda "meh..."

Looks like it, though it depends on which physical location you go to. One's for East Japan, the other's for the West Japan.

Yeah, I'm not overly excited either. Might try for the Sapphire dress (and even on that I'm not a fan of the Borelo) but I'll happily pass on the rest.

Yes. You can buy the Navy one in physical stores in eastern Japan, from Hokkaido on down to around Nagoya. This includes Tokyo, if you are coming for a trip. It's Kyoto/Osaka and points west get the black grid pattern one instead.

Yes, shipping overseas is expensive due to the size and weight. The case is over 4lbs, so it has to go Priority Mail International. (The cutoff for cheaper First Class is 4lb). It can cost between $50 - $70 USD just for shipping, depending on the destination country.

 

If going to the US, it's cheaper, around $30ish. Play with the postage calculator on usps.com to find out more specifics!

Hmm, I bought a case with my first girl, and the shipping total was only 4700 yen, for a Yukino, the black case and some accessories (wig cap etc). So it seems weird shipping would be so expensive just for the bag. o.O

Note that you're quoting yen and I was quoting dollars there, which should be a clue as to the difference. One is Japan Post, the other is USPS. The latter raised international shipping prices a very hefty amount in February 2013.

 

I don't use Japan Post for overseas shipping because there's not a location that's convenient to me. I could use JP, but it would require an extra fee for the extra effort, which would cancel out any savings versus using USPS. So there is no point to offer it.

Ah thank you! I used the postage calculator and it would be around $55 (That is even more then the bag itself O.O)

Shipping fees are absurdly expensive lately. USPS is really the only 'cheap' solution unless SAL would be possible I think.

The carrying case has a stiff bottom, and therefore you can not fold it up to make it smaller. If you think about it that's actually preferable for the bag's intended use, since the bag provides support for the dolls when it's being used to carry them arround. But, the feature also helps make the bag costly to ship.

I'm planning on attending the release event here in Osaka, but I'm a bit unsure. It could be a fun way to meet other dollfieowners here in Japan but I'm a bit curious over some parts

 

How long before they open their store would be recommended to come? I figure there will be a line but I don't know how big it will be to the Osaka store....

The clothes release is the same day as the web store's. That is the easy part.

 

Every Volks store has its own separate rules for how to run a release event. At the Osaka store in Den-Den Town, they say the November Collection release is first-come first-served, so you DO want to get there early and hang out outside the 1F entrance. The store opens at 11am.

 

How early? Not sure. In my area we draw numbers out of a box to determine entry order, just like is done at Dolpa, so coming early gains you nothing. As a result, I don't have a good gague for how early to get to Osaka Volks. I guess it depends on how bad you want the items you're aiming for, versus how bad you think others are going to want them. After you go to an event or two and get some experience at that individual store under your belt, you'll start being able to estimate the lines.

geeez... what person in the design department thought any of those colors for the TnK line looked good together???? Yeeeeeeeeesh...... least I'm safe from this one.
