Oni-Chan Posted November 21, 2014 A few months back, I bought a lot of outfits from Alice Collections, so I thought i'd do reviews on each outfit ^v^ School Uniform + Cardigan M3 MG014 Green Nov 21st is Kiyoko's Birthday, so we'll start with the outfit I got for this occasion A.c Stock Photo mg014green_01 by Princess-Oni, on Flickr My Photos Kiyoko Bday n Review by Princess-Oni, on Flickr Kiyoko Bday n Review by Princess-Oni, on Flickr Kiyoko Bday n Review by Princess-Oni, on Flickr The Cardigan: Its very nice and soft, with real button holes and buttons. It has instantly left fluff residue on the shirt, but that's because of the knitted wool that is used. The left pocket has a small defect (not tucked in and sewn properly) but im not terribly fussed. it looks like I could easily trim it to fix it Kiyoko Bday n Review by Princess-Oni, on Flickr Kiyoko Bday n Review by Princess-Oni, on Flickr Kiyoko Bday n Review by Princess-Oni, on Flickr Kiyoko Bday n Review by Princess-Oni, on Flickr Kiyoko Bday n Review by Princess-Oni, on Flickr The socks: They're nice and smooth. The leg part is soft Jersey, the trim is rippled jersey knit. they can be pulled up fairly high on the thigh, but my advice would be to have them just above the knee, so its not super tight on the leg, leading to potential staining. Even at above the knee, they might stain but as the band is not pulled as tight, it might not be as bad. Speaking of staining, I've only just put her socks on her, so I'll be keeping an eye on whether they stain or not over a short period of time Kiyoko Bday n Review by Princess-Oni, on Flickr Kiyoko Bday n Review by Princess-Oni, on Flickr The shirt : Feels like soft cotton. it's a bit oversized, im guessing so it will fit most SD sizes without fuss. It has real buttons and button holes. they seem really delicate, so care is needed. the sleeves have a nice Double button at the cuff, but if you let it hang naturally, it covers most of the hand (again, due to the general SD Sizing) the Princess cut (?) at the back is nice, but for photos of the front, you might need to pull/shape the shirt to show of the DD figure Kiyoko Bday n Review by Princess-Oni, on Flickr Kiyoko Bday n Review by Princess-Oni, on Flickr Kiyoko Bday n Review by Princess-Oni, on Flickr Kiyoko Bday n Review by Princess-Oni, on Flickr The Skirt: it's not lined, and has black thread, so caution is advised. it has a full length soft Velcro closure so it sits nicely when your girl is seated (Not bulky) My Skirt has some quality issues on the Velcro, one side it has missed stitching on the Velcro, the other side the stitching has missed sewing on the Velcro. It has 2 colour options for the skirt (Green or red plaid) While the Promo pic has a grey cardigan, I was sent a brown one. But dont get me wrong, I understand the whole "Colour may vary from on screen colours, stock items may be limited, we will send you another colour" deal. Its a very nice set, and it looks great with a little bit of styling to fit the DD body. I've only just put it on my girl today, and so far no instant staining from the socks. If you tuck the shirt in, and have your girl stand up, I would guess the skirt's black stitching wont be a major issue, but if your'e worried, you could always try a wash or 2 beforehand. There were a lot of loose threads hanging on the skirt/shirt and cardigan, but they're easily removed/trimmed. and as mentioned, the quality on the Velcro is a bit of a let down, but easily fixed with a bit of machine or hand stitching. Overall I would rate this set B+ Thanks for stopping by I have more dollfies than my age in years *×*
Innocentsake Posted November 22, 2014 Pretty nice review you put together I definitely dislike the fact that a grey cardigan is pictured, but you were sent a brown one. That would be really disappointing if I were wanting that specific colored cardigan. Personally I think Alice Collections should've let you know beforehand that they were out of the grey color and ask if you were okay with getting the brown one instead. That's just me though Look forward to more reviews
