sie Posted November 22, 2014 Hey everyone. I'm Sie and I'm posting from SoCal. DDs always looked nice to me but never did I think I would ever own one but after one bad (or good) decision after another here I am. I'm completely new to this hobby; BJDs, taking photos, everything but I'm interested to learn more! The DD that led me down this path was Miku. I'm still waiting for her since she was a literally last minute order (ordered on the cut off date) but I ended up getting another DD during the wait... Down I go for this very expensive slippery path I suppose.
Oni-Chan Posted November 22, 2014 Welcome to the slippery slope! Are you going to keep your miku as a default "miku" or give her a new look/name? And you got another girl too? Which one made her way into your home? I have more dollfies than my age in years *×*
sie Posted November 22, 2014 Thanks! I'm not too creative and have no fashion sense so I'll be keeping her default most likely. The girl I broke the bank for is Makoto from idolm@ster and I actually just opened her tonight despite having received her almost a month ago! I promised myself that I would clean and fix up my room first before I open her so she was my motivation. I can definitely see why you guys are so passionate about this hobby after unboxing my first DD. She is a lot of fun to pose and I even tried my hand (and failed) at taking some photos. Katiazza Posted November 22, 2014 Welcome, welcome! This is a very rewarding, challenging and fun hobby that sucks up money like nobody's business And it's worth every penny! Congrats on Makoto, I really love the looks everyone is giving her, she's a cutie You say you have no fashion sense but I would really recommend trying out some new looks for your girls. The ability to customize everything is a wonderful side to this hobby. You can always look at photos and decide on hair, eyes and clothing based on that. Not copy exactly but at least go in with a good idea of what things will look like. In any case, when you reach 20 posts you can link to photos and you should add some of your Makoto! It doesn't really matter if they're perfect everyone just loves to see the cuties. I started dabbling in photography thanks to DD's and I have improved some. I still consider myself an absolute novice with barely any experience but practice makes perfect! Plus, if you ask people can help you with anything you have questions about. In all, I'm sure you'll find the hobby rewarding regardless of what direction your collection/family takes *Yuzu* DDS Yaya *Yuuko* DDIII Aozaki Aoko *Sakura* DDII Uryuu Sakuno
sie Posted November 23, 2014 Thanks for the kind words. I will look into some clothing options some time down the line when I'm less broke! I'm still wanting to get some extra hands for her since I didn't think that far ahead but the one I wanted is not in stock. Also want to make sure the default hands she came with were the small sized ones and from everything I've seen that seems to be the case. Don't want to end up having mismatched hands..
