Volks x Type Moon Preorder Project!

Somehow the phrase "in Mexico with her new papa and her new sister" is so heartwarming. I am imagining such a wonderful new life for her.

Just heard from a reliable source reestablishing that June is most likely when we can expect our Sabers for VolksUSA. May at the earliest I was hoping for news of sooner. Seeing everyone's Sabers come in from the int orders makes the wait harder, but congrats to everyone who is getting theirs in!

Thanks for the info! I was actually thinking that this was going to be the timeframe anyway. Good to see I'm not far off. I could deal with mid to late May but June just seems so far away! I guess I should just go back to pretending I don't have a Saber coming so the wait seems diminished.

I thought the VolksUSA pre-orders were split into two batches, is June the date for the first batch or the second? Or are they now shipping at the same time?

I would like to know that as well. I really want to get my Alter before the end of July!

Since the payment period is now over, I decided to ask Volks USA if they had any idea on what the release schedule was looking like. If you recall, originally started release would be in two waves: 1st wave - April, 2nd wave - June. But because of the overwhelming interest in the Sabers, later started they would be experiencing a delay.

Thank you for contacting us regarding this.

 

Right now we do not have an exact schedule for when these dolls will arrive.

 

Because of the delay in Japan, we expect a delay here as well. The delay is currently about one month, so the earliest we expect to begin receiving them is in May and July.

 

As soon as we have any more exact information we will make an announcement, so please watch our website, blogs and your inbox for news.

 

Mind you, this is still subject to change as they don't even have exact word yet from Volks Japan. But guess this does give us something to go on, for now. I sure was looking forward to April though XD

Every DD I have except Beatrice involved me waiting. Certainly the worst part is the waiting. Like you, I paid for my Sabers up front before the 1st wave cutoff.

I'm just really glad I have Momoko keeping me company otherwise I'd go crazy with the waiting since I'm in the 2nd wave for the VolksUSA Sabers.

I would totally take that bet of Lucy & Haruka arriving before the Sabers XD I remember asking about when they would arrive when I went to pick up Momoko's body at the Volks Store and was told just how long it was going to be ;o; I told my husband that Saber might arrive by the time his birthday comes up haha ^^;;;

I'm definitely used to waiting -- I've got several BJDs and they're all pretty notorious for their wait times -- but I think Saber has now shot far past the wait time for any other doll in my collection.

 

And, of course, she's the grail that I want most right now. Some weird dollie karma, I think?

It would be nice to have my Alter arrive before Memorial Day weekend because I might bring her to any doll panels at Phoenix Comicon. But at this point, I'm pretty much resigned to "she'll get here when she gets here." (Oh, and I paid in full first day they went up)

Saber Extra is the first Volks DD I've purchased thru them. ALL of my girls have either been customs that I made or got secondhand from someone or they were characters that I adopted secondhand. So I am totally not used to this kind of waiting for my girls!

 

At least it's nice to see that my prediction of late May, early June is looking like it will hit the mark. It's not what I wanted to hear but at least it's something. And yes, I paid for my Saber right out of the gate and was in the first batch.

I am the complete opposite of Billy. I paid for both my gals at the last second. Alter plus outfits on Saturday and Extra on Sunday with about 1 hour to go. This makes the wait less painful for me!!!! Even though i am sure will be the last to receive them as well.

Goodness, May-July? It's a long wait for Saber indeed.

Hmmmmmm.....I have just noticed something quite odd. I bought both Alter and Extra through the layaway option so to speak..... My initial payment was $67.28 for Extra and $89.28 for Alter and two outfits. Then I was asked to pay full price for bothe but told that i would not be charged and that the initial payemknts would be deducted. Well i just looked on my Amex and I was charged the full $731.68 for Extra and $763.00 for Alter/Outfits. Is that what they were supposed to do? Did anyone else get charged the same???

That is really weird... I thought you were just supposed to check out on that special page that had the remainder payments listed? That's what we did at least. You should definitely contact them because that seems wrong.

I did check out from the first email sent. I even included my order numbers in the comments as suggested.....ewwww. I better contact them. I paid at the last second but got a confirm for both orders saying everything was fine. Wait you said "remainder payments listed". So the price on those checkout pages was the price AFTER the downpayment was deducted????

Updated status regarding the first run is posted on VolksUSA website: First run is expected around June. Was hoping for the end of April but oh well.

This is an extremely long wait for a pre-order. 8 months (or more for others) is just far too much time to wait IMO. Volks should've straightened out the kinks with the DD III body BEFORE taking orders for these dolls. I think this was one major issue that caused the delays, at least they finally gave us an expected delivery date though, took long enough.

 

Edit: You know I totally overlooked those who ordered from Volks International. I was in the heat of the moment, haha. I'm still pretty miffed about not being told anything about the dolls for months though. Perhaps Volks was overwhelmed by the amount of orders, but surely they know how popular their Dollfie Dreams are becoming now.

Urgh, I was hoping the second batch would be June and the first April. This means I am going to get Lucy & Haruka before my Sabers (who were ordered in October). >.< It's kind of annoying that they are making us wait so long, I wouldn't care if they'd been up-front about the wait but it was originally supposed to be March-ish!

RAAAARGGGGGGGHHHHHH!

 

That's my reaction to this news. I'm so disappointed. I can't believe they took until mid-April, when the first batch should have been shipping, to tell us that oh, hey, it's going to be another two months.

I'm in the first run, and honestly wasn't expecting my Sabers before August... so this is GREAT news to me!
