Volks x Type Moon Preorder Project!

I have two order numbers...for each doll. Example: for Saber Extra #24404 and #27507. Which number do I go by? The first number was from the day I placed the order and the second number was from when I finished paying. I'm assuming its the second number? Which means I am basically

This is an extremely long wait for a pre-order. 8 months (or more for others) is just far too much time to wait IMO. Volks should've straightened out the kinks with the DD III body BEFORE taking orders for these dolls. I think this was one major issue that caused the delays, at least they finally gave us an expected delivery date though, took long enough.

 

I don't think that's its that, some people have had theirs for ages already.

Yeah, I don't think the delays have anything to do with the bodies--they just got an enormous amount of orders, probably tons more than they were expecting. The wait is a bit annoying, but it's also fantastic that Volks gave so many people the opportunity to own these for retail.

I think my big peeve isn't so much the delay itself as it is the lack of communication. Volks didn't officially notify us of the delay until the first batch should have already been shipping. If I'm updated and kept informed, I'm more than happy to wait 9-10 months for a doll I really want. If I'm kept in the dark until the last possible second, then I'm pretty enraged by the extra wait.

I'm used to PVC, where delays are announced right before the original release 80% of the time: if a figure gets pushed from April to May, you usually find out at the very end of April. I suppose it would be a lot harder to wait if these were your first DDs, but personally I don't really mind the wait~ They'll come when they come, this just gives me even more time to pick out wigs & clothing I think will fit them!

No communication also makes me pretty angry as well. Volks could've at least announced a few updates on the orders every couple of months.

The worst thing IMO is that Volks already took the money. I actually paid the full amount on order, but even those paid with the payment plan, Volks already took your money too. Yet with the delays, there's no communication. When I'm buying anything else, if there's delay, I don't pay until that something actually is made and read to be shipped. I don't mind waiting in that case. But this is different, money's already taken, so when someone wanted to break the contract (time delay in this case) I would like to be be informed about it at the very least. If the manufacturer want to keep the customer in the dark, then don't take the money first. This is not what I would call good practices for any company. Oh well, unfortunately in this case, there's no other choice.

So has anyone heard any news about when we might expect our Sabers to ship? I have been so wrapped up in Dolpa 27 I forgot about this.....anyone?

I haven't heard anything lately. I'm not expecting to get my Saber Alter until late June or early July. If that...

I'm going to call Volks USA tomorrow to ask a few things, this will be one of them.

I'm heading to the store tomorrow to pick up Haruka. I'll probably ask them as well.

I wonder if that means they have them in the warehouse and are parceling them out per order? I may have to ask them if I can sneak mine out the door while I'm there.

So Volks US actually has the first set of Sabers at their store and are readying them for shipments out to customers here in the US? Am I reading that correctly?

 

I really do hope they can do what they said about starting to send them out within the next two weeks. I hate to be negative but I'm not holding my breath on seeing my Saber until the LAST week of June or the first week or so of July. I'm not wanting to think that way but it's been so long in coming, it just seems that it's never going to happen.

 

But even tho I'm being pessimistic, I really *do* hope that this is true and people start seeing shipping notices in a few weeks. That would be really wonderful!
