Volks x Type Moon Preorder Project!

I have #26157, looks like I have a long wait! Heard back from Volks and they said they will be done sending out the entire first shipment by July.

I think someone posted about this earlier, but a one year wait is quite common among resin doll pre-orders from several big companies (Soom comes to mind off-hand).

 

I guess whenever my Sabers arrive at my door it'll be a happy surprise! (And possibly a wicked one, depending on much I get hit by customs @__@)

Does 60k for alters head eyes, body and wig new seem okay??

I've got to say, I own more than 40 resin dolls from a variety of companies and the longest I have ever waited for a doll is about three months- a year is pretty inexcusable to me and that is definitely not the average wait.

Is that the set that was on yahoo Japan? I was ogling that but decided against it.

 

I think it depends on whether you want or are interested in her box, papers, outfit, shoes and sword. Full set Saber Alters are going unsold for 80k at the moment on yj! so it's possible that they could start going even lower soon in an effort to get sold. This would mean a full set would be a maximum of 20k more than the incomplete set but could potentially be even less so.

 

For me, the difference in cost and the amount of items you get makes it more sense for me to go for a full set, but if you don't care about full set, then maybe its not a bad deal.

Yes indeed! I am so amped up right now, it's insanity!!! I feel liek a huge weight has been lifted off me.

 

Unfortunately I am NOT going to be home when she gets deleivered on Tuesday next week and she has to have a signature. I tried to find out on the UPS site where I can have her dropped at my house with out one but Kymaera and I can't find that area to check off. I am going to ask my UPS guy at work tomorrow about it and see what he says.

Offhand I think it's a form you fill out and submit [somewhere], and then you stick a barcode sticker onto your screen door (assuming you have one?) and then the UPS guys scans the bar code and it acts as a "signature" to prove that he did in fact drop it off on your doorstep.

 

One of my friends owns a small business out of his home and this is what he does with deliveries.

I figured as much but for some reason, Kymaera and I couldn't find that form anywhere on the UPS site. I even joined up for their little UPS Member thingie and it said specifically that you can have your signed packages dropped without you being there. But when I go to the place on their site where they say to go and check this option, that option is nowhere to be found. It's a pretty annoying user interface to say the least.

 

As I said, I'll ask my UPS driver at work what he thinks about it and see if either he can call it in for me or if I can call or email someone about it. Otherwise, I'll have to think of some way to bribe my Mom into hanging out at my place for half a day to sign for her instead. I'd love to skip work but I really can't afford to.

Hope you get everything worked out so your new Princess can be dropped off at her new home I'm so excited for everyone here who is finally getting their Sabers from the 1st batch. And I'm really excited to see your introduction story for her!

 

Haha and like everyone else I too would want to skip work and stay home to play with newly arrived Saber... we'll see Depends how things are money wise when she arrives and if the husband is feeling generous in letting me play hooky ;D

As of today, June 7th, all of the 1st run fully paid pre-orders have been shipped.

 

1st run down-payment pre-orders are still being processed, but we hope to begin shipping them out very soon as well.

 

We are still waiting for the 2nd run orders to be sent to us, so please keep your eyes here for more updates.

Hmm, if that's the case, maybe I should e-mail them and ask about the status for store pick up orders. Then I'll have an excuse to show up for Kyoto 9 this Saturday.

Guess my order will be one of the first from the second shipment to go out then. So disappointing, hopefully can get her before end of September.

That's kind of a mean move on Volks' part... if they weren't going to ship the not fully-paid ones at the same time as the fully-paid ones, they really should have said so when you ordered. This means we're getting FOUR US shipments instead of 2?

Think that if your did full payment that order should have been in first run. Down payment ones had time to settle up with Volks after the deadline, but folks who did order pretty early and in full still ended up 2nd run. At least that was my case. Sure others out there also like that.
