baldylox Posted November 28, 2014 Happy Turkey Day everyone! I stuffed my face at lunch and am now doing it again. We had a wonderful family get together with a bunch of food that I hadn't had in a while. All of it was great and after we ate, my sister, her BF, me and my GF all went out and shot rifles and pistols. AH-MUR-CUH!!!! WHOOOOO!!! My sister and I also braved the early Black Friday sales at Target and Walmart so we could grab some Monster High dolls on the cheap. I managed to snag all 4 that I was sent after and my sister nabbed 7 that she had been wanting. So we both managed to get the things we needed without casualties! It was a good feeling to get dolls that were normally $15-$20 for a paltry $5 each. That and this was the first time my sister had ever done Black Friday shopping.... it was seeing her react to the craziness. I hope anyone who braved the sales today got what they needed as well! Mine was good during the afternoon yesterday while I had turkey with family, but rapidly went downhill after I went to work and joined the nightmare that is holiday retail. I worked til midnight and I am already awake and going back in by 6am. So those Black Friday shopping, please be patient with store employees, they may have only gotten a few hours of sleep. I wonder if I'll ever get to do some Black Friday shopping. To be honest I was barely aware of the occasion until recently, because in Canada we celebrate Thanksgiving in October.
