Kimono and yukata for my newer girls

Just like my maid uniform obsession, I kind of have one for kimono/yukatas too. I've tried to keep up with getting one for each of my girls so they all had their own specific one that they alone wore. As I kept adding girls, I kept falling behind on getting them these kinds of outfits.

 

But once I started dating Goodgolly, I found out that she can sew them! So now I finally had a way to get all my girls their own kimono/yukata sets without breaking the bank and waiting forever.

 

She started by doing the Star Wars themed ones for my MDD girls, which I posted pics of a while ago. Then she started doing the full sized DD ones for me using fabrics she had or that we bought here and there. And after quite a while of designing and sewing, she finally finished them all for me and the girls! So now I'm happy to share photos of my girls showing off their outfits.

 

First up I have some group shots of them all in my bedroom. And don't laugh at my lack of space to display them. It's extremely hard to stand or seat 33 girls! Here's an overall shot of all the girls wearing kimonos.

Not all of the new outfits were made by GG so when there's one she *didn't* make, I'll note it. Otherwise she made a LOT of the following ones. Good work my dear!

 

First up is Mari. This one was bought at a local doll meet and I have no clue who made it. But it fits Mari very well and shows off those nice...... assets.

Next is Katerina. She's wearing one that Anne made for me a long time ago. This one used to belong to Reiko but GG made another that suited her a lot more so Katerina got this one. I like how the darker blue really offsets her light colored wig.

Chizuru got this one from another meetup sale. Again, no tags inside it so I don't know who made this. I do know it's a popular design tho as I've seen pics of this same one on other girls on Flickr.

Oh Kanu, you're so sexy! GG made this super short and sexy kimono for Kanu out of a blind bag gift she got. It didn't suit any of her girls and was unfinished at first. But I thought it would work perfectly for Kanu.

The traditional obi was swapped for a red rope material that wraps around 4 times to make a thick looking belt. I like the colors and style for Kanu on this.

Torako wanted a bright floral pattern so GG made her this little number. Loads of color and cute flowers!

Torako swapped bodies with Miyuki recently so she now has the Shapely L-bust..... which she shows off a little bit here.

Here's Fate in her differently styled kimono set. I got this outfit along with Hitomi when I adopted her. Since Hitomi and Fate used to belong to the same owner, they used to wear this outfit often and Fate seemed to really like it so I let her continue using it.

No idea who made it but I'm pretty sure it was a YJA purchase. It has an "Alice in Wonderland" theme on it with a deck of cards as backdrops.

"Nyaaa!" Kiririn got this lovely little kimono from Waha, her previous owner. It went very well with her eyes so it was natural she liked it.

I've had this kimono for a while but never could figure out who to give it to. But then I remembered Tsubaki has a big Hello Kitty collection of figures and such so she wound up getting it.

I bought this in a lot of clothing from a seller here on the forums about a year ago. It's very cute and works with Tsubaki well.

Here's another one GG made for me. Kiyomi likes floral prints too so she got this nice blue one.

Here's Mirai in hers. GG made this one for her using a fun and bright fabric. I wanted it to look colorful and playful, just like Mirai.

Aoi is a bit more grown up and likes darker tones so GG made her this one with some nice earthy colors. I like the tree patterns in it a lot.

Another one of the fun patterns GG had, we decided that Lyssa would look good in this black fabric with colorful ladybugs on it.

Midori also needed something so when I saw this set for sale at a local meetup, I had to try it out on her.

Not sure who made this but it's excellent quality. Since Midori means green and her fave color is green, she got this nice kimono.

Last but certainly not least is Nami. GG made this one too and she specifically went after a fabric that looked very comfortable and dreamy. Since Nami has closed eyes, GG wanted this to remind people of clouds in a light blue sky or a warm day in the bamboo forest.

I think the color and pattern worked out great for what she was shooting for.

 

So there we have it! All of my girls now have their own kimonos that fit them and their personalities. It's been a long time coming and I couldn't have done it without the help of Goodgolly. Thanks so much! The girls and I appreciate your hard work.

Thank you! It took some time to match fabrics and colors to the girls but I think it worked out well. And that's very nice of you to say about the quality! GG does a really nice job and I'm very happy with all of her work. As for if she does commissions......... I'll let her answer that.

I can't even imagine how long it must have taken to get all of those girls dressed and posed. Especially knowing how unruly some of them can be. At least it looks like you certainly made it worth the time and effort. Some beautiful pictures there. I love how each girl's kimono suits her personality so well. Unfortunately, now there will be people clamoring to see the whole group decked out in their maid costumes.

Heh, it took me a little over a week to get all of them dressed and assembled. I had help from the GF tho so it wasn't super difficult.

DON'T SAY THAT! The kimonos/yukatas are WAY easy to put on the girls compared to the maid sets! Some of those can take up to 30 minutes EACH to put together. The last time I did those it took me almost 3 weeks!

 

Buuuuut..... I did get a couple of new maid uniforms for the new girls, including Mirai. So eventually I'll have to get those girls dressed up and have Rei outfit them with weapons. But it'll be after the new year before I get time for that.
