Yumeiro Posted December 3, 2014 Hello! AGAIN, I might add! I registered here about two years ago, when I first started looking into getting a Dollfie Dream. Being a fan of Xenosaga, and specifically KOS-MOS, who was being released or teased around then (been that long?!) was a huge reason I got serious about DDs. But she did fortunately, for me, not live up to my expectations. (And then I thought my account here had been deleted, due to inactivity, because I had trouble signing in) So from then on my interest in getting a DD have been drifting back and forth. But now I have finally taken the dive and have a DDH-06 incoming! I might switch over from them resin BJDs to DDs if all goes well/works out to be what I am after. So I am going to be re-shelling a BJD of mine on this DD, which means painting the faceup myself. Which I am getting quite nervous about, occasionally... Maybe I could ask a quick question for those with experience about that with "both" kinds - how does painting a Dollfie Dream compare to a resin head - if there is any difference? Anyway! Minty Posted December 3, 2014 Hello! Welcome back. ^_^ It's too bad KOS-MOS didn't work out. I hope you'll be much happier with your incoming girl and will take pictures of her once she arrives. I started out with resin BJDs and at this point I've switched over to DDs. Unlike resin, I'm not as worried about breaking something off of them. Yumeiro Posted December 3, 2014 Yeah... Her face, or nose, was just like Rise - a tad too much towards the realistic spectrum. But I am pretty glad I did not need to butcher my wallet!
