Also, is is just me or it looks like Volks is challenging Smartdolls that also being sold in AFA? I never heard Volks sell doll in a convention but maybe this is just my first time hearing it.

Good though we need a little more availability so scalpers can't sell at literally double the price.

I suspect Volks will have extremely limited quantities of all of the dolls listed... probably less than 5 of each (remember, they could only scrape up one Saber Alter 2nd and one Saber Extra for the "Holiday Greetings" event), so I doubt this is going to significantly affect the market.

The December Holiday Greeting Event for Dollfie Dream® has begun! 

 

For this event we'll have Saber Alter ver. 2 and Saber Extra available! If you missed both of them from the past pre-order; you now have a second chance! 

 

Unlike the Super Dollfie® One-Off Model Lottery - there will be multiple winners for each Dollfie Dream®.

 

If you plan to enter for both, please make a separate orders for each entry.

Like Cauldy said I'm sure they will bring more than one of each girl, but they definitely won't have so many that it would lessen the dolls limited availability since Volks likes for their products to be exclusive~ I'm actually really jealous that AFA is getting such a cool DD sales event Something like this would've been a great thing to do for the Holiday Event since at AFA they are offering up more than just Saber Alter & Nero. For everyone going to AFA I hope you get one of the girls you want As for trying to compete with Danny's Smart Doll? Mmm maybe~ It just doesn't seem like they have ever cared about the competition. To me it seems like they are trying to make their brand more widely known by going to cons & selling their products. Volks USA has already been doing that this year so maybe due to that Volks Japan decided to try the same

Your estimate was spot on apparently! A DD owner went wanting to get a Rise but was told they sold out quickly because they only brought 5 of them. I feel bad for him, he must have been so excited

I'm really curious to know that if for MDD Maria if they sold her on the original MDD body or gave her a MDDIII body since all the other dolls they sold already have the upgraded bodies. Either way she's a cutie and I'm happy some people were able to get her for retail price

I enjoyed seeing all the photos from the AFA event Hopefully Volks sees that people really enjoy having them at conventions and that they are making the money they want from the dolls they bring. It's a good chance for people to interact with them who can't make it to Japan for their Dolpas.
