Lidia's Trip to Saguaro Lake

Now arriving at Saguaro Lake!

 

 

Lidia: What a beautiful overcast stormy day! I don’t think I could have asked for a better day for getting out of the cesspool of modern civilization.

 

 

Lidia: Hrist was telling me about this place she visited a while back. She was right, it is a pretty amazing lake.

Lidia: Hmm… a ferry tour boat. Could make for an exciting voyage! $20 per ticket…

Perhaps next time, Somonul and Hrist could join along for this ferry tour.

Lidia: Well, this is the life, the wind in my face, the waves from the lake can just rock me to sleep here on this pier… if not for the infernal quacking of a rather annoying local primitive species of duck. It seems to have it in its thick daft head that I have food for it. Guess again Mr. Duck. You’re begging the wrong person.

Fortunate I don’t outright destroy you myself.

Lidia: Well, time for some hiking. Think we should give this trail a whirl, Somonul? Never know what wonderful things can be found on a hike.

Lidia: Wow, if this were a bright orange sky, I’d have thought I was back in the abyss! How reminiscent.

Lidia: A good spot to rest. Buzzards circling around something off in the distance. Maybe one of those ducks at the pier bit the dust…

Lidia continued to climb the trail up to the summit path. Trekking through the windswept cliff faces and perilous jagged rocks.

Lidia: At last, the summit of this trail! Victory! Somonul!

What a sight.

 

 

This spring we better get ready for a longer incursion into the unknown trails!

I rather enjoyed this trip. Cloudy days are a must however! Unlike our Bartlett lake trip, this was really enjoyable!

Somonul: I agree Lidia!

 

 

Lidia: Great, then it’s settled! We’ll have to plan a day at the end of winter, or early spring when you have a day off and it’s nice and cloudy.

Somonul: We’ll need good timing for that…

Lidia: Yeah, it’s called, call in sick on a cloudy day, end of problem. If… you want to do it the nice way that is…

Somonul: *sinister grin*

 

Lidia: We can finally try that one grueling park place you’ve been wanting to go to also!

Somonul: Oh yeah! I know the one now.

Lidia: Yup, hopefully Hrist can join along too, and maybe even that one wild friend of hers too.

Somonul: Hrist would really enjoy it.

 

 

As the two begin the decent back down the trail winding an end to a spectacular outing at Saguaro Lake.
