Miu and Liz Progression~ Photos photos and more photos :3

So, a lot of things have changed from my last post of Miu in her DDS SS Bust Body and Liz's face-up-less face. ^^" Miu now has a 2 piece S Bust Body now (but now with modded shins + feet) and new eyes! And Liz has a beautiful face-up done by the amazing jadepixel. 🙂

I was also gifted a beautiful dress from HardCandy13 when doing the trade for her 2 piece S Bust torso and waist for my one piece SS bust torso. Miu can't seem to get enough of the dress. Hehe. Anyway, today I shall show you a photoshoot of their progress from my last photos . I will also show you the face-up progression and completion of my cute and mischievous Liz!

Did you get the modded "short stuff" body by SakuraSylph (I think that's who made and sold it?) I noticed you said her shins were modded, so I was wondering if that's what you meant.

 

Miu is really cute, I love her with the blue eyes... It's crazy how different she looks with different eye color, but the blue ones are definitely my favorite!

 

Liz is really cute, I like her expression. It's unique! Most of the 08 heads I saw took advantage of the open mouth and made it smiling, I hadn't seen one that looked mischievous until I saw your Liz. Do you have eyes picked out for her yet?

 

Next step is getting your girls some wigs! Wigs are addicting, I think more so than clothes.

 

Looking forward to seeing them both progress and eventually completed!

Yeah. Sakura Sylph and I traded shins + feet and I added in some extra money to make it fair~ :3 So both her shins and feet are modded since the pegs have to fit in a certain way otherwise the feet would be showing their pegs, etc. :3

I liked both the eyes Miu had but the blue ones seem to work better with her. Plus, I wanted her character to have blue eyes badly so I had to try and I'm glad I decided to get Arietta Project eyes. Miu's are actually custom made by them. They are Prisma Illya Style 24mm and I told them a color from a different set of eyes that were like Sapphire/Crystal colored. I also love how the domes are flat since it makes them sooo much easier to insert. x3 I might keep the Orange WDS eyes for Ranka next year to see if they fit her style, but if they don't I'm most likely going to sell them.

When I took Liz out of her box, her personality and her soft head cap just blew me away. She makes me real happy when I see her and reminds me of my hyper and fun side. 🙂 Whereas Miu reminds me of my sweet, quiet, and shy side. ^^ And nah, I do not have eyes picked out for her yet since her eye size is quite questionable. I thought they would be 20mm but I tried 20mm eyes that I have and they have a little too much space. And some 22mm eyes seem too big. DX I'm hoping to maybe get Illya Style Honey eyes from Arietta Project but they can be expensive and I'm not sure which size to get since Miu's 24mm seem to be smaller than some 24mm. O:

Oh, I had wigs down a looooong time ago for them. ^^"

Miu's wig and Liz's are both Miruya wigs (I haven't put on Miu's wig since I don't have a cloth wig cap and I need to slot out her hard headcap more but I don't have the proper tools to do that with yet. Plus I really want to get a tenshi-no-hairbrush, no matter what anyone else thinks of them ^^"). Miu's wig has twin tails and so does Liz's. However, Miu's is going to not have her twin tails on.

I don't know which style Liz's is since I got it secondhand from waha and it only said Miruya Twin Tailed Wig (or something like that, haha). So here's my closest guess:

That's cool, I thought that body was modded in a neat way and looked professional. I love the DDS body, I love how much tinier they are.

 

I think the blue is super pretty. I think those eyes might look nice on Ranka, good idea to hold onto them. Ranka is super cute!

 

I love the soft headcaps... Ugh, the hard ones are so annoying, but all of my dolls have it except for one. I don't really switch out their eyes... But I hate having to use the hairdryer if I need to do a minor adjustment. It takes a lot of time and always makes me paranoid about warping their head.

 

If the wig has a light colored cap on the inside (most light colored wigs do) then you do not need a cloth wig cap. Most of my dolls all have light hair, and they have no markings at all on their heads. It is only for browns, blacks, and other darker colors that it is necessary. I hate that one of my dolls has to wear it because it always gets in the way and sticks out. :/

 

Miruya wigs are really nice, my very first doll had one. I haven't gotten one since because every time I go on the site it always says the ones I want are sold out.

Always fun to see more pictures of Miu & Liz I have to say that I really love the new blue eyes you purchased for Miu as they make her face-up really pop! The Volks Welcoming outfit she got as a gift is quite nice and goes well with her new modded body. I can't tell you how many times I was tempted to purchase SakuraSylph's Short Stuff body so I'm glad to see it went to a good home

Yeah, I really like the DDS body. The only downside for me (and my boyfriend is the one that pointed this out to me and I kind of agree) is that their butts are super huge. I think it's so they can sit better but eh, it can be a bit big especially since Miu is supposed to be around 11 years to 12 years old. xD

Thanks~ I plan on naming my Ranka, Kat. Short for Katherine but I will always refer to her as Kat unless she gets in trouble in a photo story or something. x3

Yeah, I'm scared of warping Miu's head (hence why I haven't put the headcap back on and also since I couldn't find the right eyes for her for a long time). I tried Liz's soft headcap on Miu the day I got her and it wouldn't fit which made me mad but oh well. I'm stuck with Miu's cursed headcap. I'm so sorry about you only having one soft headcap girl though. I have to use a flippin' butter knife plus a hairdryer to get any hard headcap off. When I had my Marisa, her headcap made me so mad that I lost my temper and kind of banged her head on the bathroom counter and I think I threw her to the ground once (not that hard but still). Luckily she didn't chip or anything but hers was the woooorst to get off. Luckily Miu has the beginning's of the four slots in her headcap so it wasn't as hard when I first got her. x3

Also, you could always message Miruya about when they might restock and if you could hold on to one of the ones that come in. It never hurts to ask. They are pretty decent at English. 🙂 I had to e-mail them to be able to place my order for Miu's wig and everything went pretty darn smooth. :3

Well, I didn't pay for the whole body from SakuraSylph. I just traded out for the modded part of the body (which was the shins + feet) and then paid her extra money to go along with it (I just had to get it since Miu's supposed to be a certain age and those long DDS legs made her look more like a teenager than a preteen). 🙂 And I'm glad you enjoy seeing more pictures of Miu and Liz. That makes me happy. :3 Yeah, I really needed blue eyes for Miu and I'm glad you think they look nice on her. She seems to be enjoying them. :3

Thank you so much! I also look forward to when she can interact with Miu but I know I'll have to keep a close eye on her so that she doesn't bug Miu too much~

Cute pics! I like both your girls so much and I never imagined the 08 head could look so adorable.

I love Liz's entire style. The only hard cap head doll I have is Yoko Littner but yeah the soft caps are just so much easier and perfect for changing eyes.

Thank you ever so much~ Liz would be a little Tsundere right now and probably just turn away since you said you love her style and whatnot. 🙂 But she does appreciate it, trust me. She's just a little embarrassed. (Liz: AM NOT! >///<) Eh heh…^^" She's such a cutie. (Liz: grrrrrr….>.<)

And yes, soft head caps are a blessing in this hobby. Aha~ When I first got Liz, oh man, I was so happy being able to take her headcap off so easily. It was like a heavenly, "AHHHHHHHHH" moment.

Yeah, I hope to get her a body soon as well. :3

Maybe a little bit after Christmas as a late Christmas gift for her, if they come back in stock. If not, all the spare pieces are available on VolksUSA and I could piece her together instead even though it'd be more expensive to but that's only if I can spare the money to do that since California shipping sucks. XD
