What are your DD plans for 2015?

Yes, I stole this idea from that other doll forum

 

My plans/goals for 2015 are:

1. Buy clothes for incoming Miku and Ranka. And Saber Alter and Sasara if I am lucky enough to win them.

2. Don't buy any new dolls other than said lottery dolls listed above.

3. ...unless a Sakura Kinomoto MDD/DDS happens to pop up this year, then I'm going for her.

4. Pay off Ranka later this year when I get the invoice.

5. Find somewhere cat-proof to put all of my dolls. They live on a bookshelf at the moment, but that's only big enough for two of them.

 

So what are your plans for 2015? Will you be adding new members to your doll family? Getting your first doll? Buying more clothes for them?

Cry that I won cause I need to pay for her and turn her into Felicia's daughter NOAH.

 

Cry that I didn't win her then sigh in relief as I don't have to pay for her and her outfits just yet.

 

Assemble Felicia's mom (Jenn) and her modern casual, modern adventuring and goddess outfits.

 

make jenn's 2 tone wig.

 

Wait for sheryl release to put jenn together...or not. I could end up cancelling my sheryl preorder before the deadline, still haven't decided if I can make sheryl's head work for jenn.

 

Source a second 07 head for cheap to make castings of.

Sculpt and cast Felicia's ears.

 

Sell ears for 07 head lol.... maybe.

 

Find seamstress to make tactical vest for jenn and felicia, and someone to possibly make their goddess outfits.

 

Figure out how to make some swords for jenn.

I feel like my plans are always the same upon entering every new year (Just different dolls lol):

 

Top Priority: Pay off M.O.M.O! Lunnaya is wanted home! (I have another doll on layaway too, but she's off topic here. :F)

 

1. Buy more clothin' for the always demanding August, and the ever charmin' Lunnaya~

 

2. Save up money for my next DD...who could it possibly be?!

 

3. ...cringe/cry/celebrate the upcoming releases from Volks...

Hmmm, my goals are more replacement oriented rather than new girl oriented. I had to sell so many bodies off last year ( ) and I'm still unsure of my ability to rebuild, but I don't want to lose anybody I have home already.

 

As such my goals are like:

 

1.) Buy moar bodies. Even one or two a year, it may take a while but it must be done!

 

2.) Try not to aquire more heads before I've unfloated all my current heads.

 

3.) Make/buy more outfits to rebuild their wardrobe. Some of my girls don't like to share but only have two outfits to their name.

 

4.) Get around to some photostories and introductions that should've happened ages ago. Right now I have a job in retail customer service so I come home exhausted but hopefully after mid January it'll get better.

Hmmmm, "goals".

 

First: find a Dynamite body *and outfits* for my new Kiddo.. Merri, a DD Mai Shiranui who's in Germany having her face-up

done by a wonderful artist! (just saw a pic this weekend, and I can't stop hugging Tana and Maiko! She has

FRECKLES!!!)

 

Second: light a fire under my brother to find work, so I can quit working at a job I loathe, and start fabricating

more weapons for DD's..

Finally: get back into taking pictures and finishing certain storylines for all three Kiddos!

I hope to finish the four I have with their complete outfits and all. None of them are quite finished yet; two need their custom heads, two need their outfits. Then there are minor things, like custom hands. All of these things are in progress, though, so hopefully it will all come together soon. ;.;

My plans...

 

1. Hopefully get more money so I can start my Lucina project... Meaning buying a head, body, wig and eyes for starters.

 

2. Start to learn how to sew so I can make Lucina her clothes...

Get Miku home and then patiently wait for Sheryl. Will probably invest in some outfits depending on what Volks releases at their various events during the year. Hopefully they'll have something I like unlike in the November collection.

Let's see... 1. Get more bodies at least two (and Renata could use new arms as well). 2. Buy more hand parts. 3. Take more pics and post doll bios. 4. Get a new face up for Azumi as I'm tired of her original one.

Will probably be adding to this later.

For me... I will be getting my first girl and she is Sister Mayu YAYS Get her some clothes I was thinking of getting her a sofa to sit down on in my display bookcase instead of her always standing. Then I was thinking of building my own Dollfie girl and doing her face up and giving a go at making clothes for my hopefully two girls While also keeping a eye out on any new girls so that they can friends YAYS! =^ω^=

1: Faceups. the weather atm is so bad I cant seal any heads.... I fear it will be next year when I can..

1a: Izzy needs eyebrows.. she has the two little dots so wont be hard.. just need to seal.

1b: Isolda, she is the limited 05 head but I hate the lips x.x so I will need to redo them.

1c: El.. El needs a full face-up.

1d: will co inside with some of the other things for next year.V. new face-up for Gaara.

 

2:Smart doll Guy. depending on his sculpt(1d) I will need to do face-up and body blushing/scaring for Gaara... that's after buying him XD

2a: if head is not good I will be getting ether 07 or 09 which ever I get first for Gaara's head (modding will be needed.

 

3: Obitsu 65cm. will need to buy and then mod a scar for El.

 

4: Me. I want to try get my sewing going. I have my own kimono paten ready but just no room to make so I want to work something out to be able to get a work room.

 

5: I want to get my face-ups better. Then maybe open a DD/ anime face up shop for the Uk.

 

6: Maybe open a second hand shop for dolls in the Uk. I would love that but its a dream.

After I finish my off topic doll project, it'll just be putting my second girl together and buying little things like shoes and wigs for Celeste every now and then.

I'm trying to finish up all my doll projects so I can just enjoy who I have.

To jump onto 2014 & 2013 Vara 'projects' and wants.

 

1) To find Varakitsu an appropriate fox mask. One I was going to get from Japan no longer seems to be an option right now as it needs a willing personal proxy. May even need to find someone locally who would be willing to do a custom version from a Canadian influence and point of view.

2) To obtain some fancy sofa or chair for Vara to sit on. She's always sitting on things so why not.

3) To finally design and find someone to comission to have her main outfit (or outfits) made. If she was real she'd be torturing me right about now in her fox illusion.

4) Optional: To try and nudge a way to have her Fox Fang Dagger be made finally. The constant nagging feeling of redesigning for her use and having it made has made things far too annoying.

5) Looking into making a picture book....Maybe for 2016 for her third anniversary with me.

I can only plan for January because who knows what will happen, but I want a lot of doll clothes and maybe a new standard model 03 head +dd3 body. Also I want to start a savings fund so if a limited I like comes around I can buy her.

There is so much things I want ;w; :

- I will do my best to participate in the Sasara lettory ;

- Buy clothes for my Akira who si with me right now and my two girls in preorder : Ranka and sheryl

- Hvave a DDH-06 in SWS, but each time i'm ready to buy her, the head in sws is not ;w; !

- M.o.m.o is in the wishlist too ♥

- moar clothes ♥

- Ask one of my favorites faceup artist to remake my girls

 

and I will see for more in the year ^^

I try not to get *too* attached to doll plans, because sometimes you just don't know what'll happen. You never know what Volks will do, or what will show up second-hand for a killer price when you actually have money, to derail what you thought you were gonna do.

 

However, there are two things that I am determined to do.

 

1. Take TONS of photos with my new camera! Got my first DSLR via Black Friday Amazon sale (Nikon D3300 I named Nikola), and even with the little poking around I've done I can tell it's way better than my dinky old point and shoot. Still, LOTS of learning to be done, which means lots of photos!

 

2. SEWING. This I do have some degree of planning for. . . at least for the girls who are already home.

• Yukata/Yukata-inspired things: Nanoha (traditional), Miku (like the Volks Red Apricot set, but way brighter colors), Agatha (wa-lolita steampunk monstrosity)

• Halloween: Homura (finish her Akuma Homura getup), Miku (Halloween Miku outfit)

• Steampunk: Homura

• Christmas dessert-inspired formalwear: Agatha (candy cane redo), Homura (chocolate blackberry flamenco thing), Miku (green tea ice cream fishtail hanfu)

 

So much to sew. @_@

 

I would like to finally bring Feito-chan home, but that's depending on both funds and whether I can get her at a sane price when I have said funds. . .might depend on what my tax return looks like.

 

. . . and that would mean even more sewing!

\'D ah... considering how all my doll plans were destroyed by a DD invasion.. I'm hoping 2015 is a bit more calm ww

 

1. Start saving up + setting aside money to pay for Ranka & Sheryl

2. Save up & search for a second hand MOMO

3. Decide on a body for my 03 head & redo her face up

4. Sew more clothes for my girls! Simple things to start, maybe a few dresses too...

5. Sort out current clothes, sell some, buy more...?

6. Avoid the temptation that is yja XD

My DD plans for the new year are to wait for Ranka and put aside money to pay for her. I also hope to buy Alice this year because I've wanted her from the beginning of my collecting DD. Last thing is of course, more clothes and shoes!

-NO MORE DOLLS for one

-customize who I have and get them an abundance of clothing/wigs/etc.

- buy more DD hands so I can mess with them a bit more

I hope to get a DDS Makoto or DD Alisa next year.

And buy some cute & sexy outfits for my Saber.

1. Get my first girl (DDH-06 Magical Ruby~)

 

2. Get her set up in all her dolly gear.(eyes, wigs, clothes, shoes, etc.)

 

3. Take her to all the places! She'll be a rather worldly girl.

Hmmm there are a couple of things already in the works for 2015 that are solid plans

 

→Save up enough money to get Maki her DDS body. I'm halfway there!

→Work on a secret DD project (not a secret to those I told lol)

→New wigs for Maki, Melon, & Seraphina will be arriving very early 2015~

→Enter After Event Lottery to help my friend get her grail girl, Sasara. Fingers crossed!

→If extras are won (doubtful) I plan to keep a Sasara for myself

→But if that doesn't happen & a Mariko re-release happens I will be all over that

→Other than the above it'll be the usual gathering of clothes/shoes/etc that catch my eye

 

2015 is already looking like quite a busy dolly year hehe
